I love this. The color code. Clint as Natasha's "failsafe" - gods, I love that. Gorgeous, truly.

Hee!!!! YAY!

And you're very welcome! I'm so glad you liked it!

I have... SO MANY feels about them being each others' failsafes - in my headcanon Clint (even pre-Loki) also sometimes wonders if he'll ever start enjoying the job too much... so there's a parallel kind of understanding that I see playing out in the movie events (though not really addressed here.) But I feel like they can start putting themselves back together, and really be themselves and do what they need to do *because* they trust the other one to be strong enough to stop them if they were ever to go horribly wrong.

Right up until and except if they happen to drag the other down with them... and I loved having them dance along that edge here. ::eg::

Oh I love the whole premise here. Using color to explore her mindset and emotions, it's clever and interesting and it totally works. <3 I like Clint's voice here too. He's cautious but indulgent and I think that's totally on for him.

I ADORED THIS. The use of color, her failsafe, the violence and the sex as a means of bringing her down-- gah. Gorgeous.

Hee! Thank you! That (sex being a grounding factor between them) is really becoming a Theme for me... although I'm really not sure if that was on purpose or inadvertent on his part - he was pretty far gone himself, to take the risk this time. ;)

Oh, yes. I really do like this idea that she isn't entirely - well, stable isn't the right word, but 'normal'? Grounded? Normal works best. That she can slip and slide back into what they made her and still be Natasha Romanoff, just not his Natasha - and that she always pulls herself back out. Most off, I love that this idea of the failsafe, because yes.

You know... I'm not entirely sure that stable is a bad word. Not the way it's normally meant, in terms of actual mental illness or anything, but her personality seems to be more fluid than static? (At least here.)

It's a constant struggle for her (again, this version) to choose, in every instance, at every moment, which version of herself she's going to be.

AND YES FAILSAFE = WIN I think I <3 that idea more than is healthy. SO SO MUCH.

Thank you!
