I bought a dress today, for croquet. It is very pretty.
I dropped my computer a while ago, over a month ago now...the bottom half of the screen is busted, but the top half works fine. Mainly what it means is that I can't see anything "full screen", so videos, tv shows, etc are all reduced to a small box. I went to the Apple store on Monday and am just waiting for them to have their special student sale that they generally have each summer.
I went to a brewery with friends on Tuesday night and ate an entire 11" pizza by myself. I will not do that again. Too much stomachache involved afterwards. On the bright side, it was incredibly delicious, as was the beer, and fairly easy to get to on the bus as well, which is nice.
I had a very heated discussion this afternoon with a coworker about the impacts of the decision to not recycle and where the difference is between someone's "right" to not recycle and someone's "choice". Personally I think that taking the view that one is just an individual so what does his actions/inactions matter if there are no direct conseqences is rather limited. To say that the rest of the world doesn't matter because all the affects oneself is one's individual actions seems selfish. It occured to me though, during this discussion, that perhaps the idea of an individual obligation as part of a community to help the broader world is based on the idea of Tikkun Olam.
Finished eating dinner and now it is time to walk home.
