[Abel appears to be out for a walk, late, apparently content to enjoy the scenery for the moment. He stops at a small overlook down a path by the river, leaning back against the railing and eying the side of the city in front of him]

It seems odd that so much of the city is asleep this early, it's not at all like the Template I remember. And what ( Read more... )

You know -- talking to yourself is never healthy.

Hmm? It's not? But I rather like keeping myself company.

Somehow, I can't really argue with that logic.

As long as we remember to do it in moderation, I don't think talking to oneself is all that dangerous to the health! There are much worse things I could be doing; drinking myself into the gutter, for instance.

[a sideways look, the same pleasant smile] Who are you, anyway?

Abel Nightroad. [offers him a hand, still cheerful] It's nice to meet you, although I admit it's a bit of a surprise to see that someone else is still out and about.

[[ooc: sdofjsdl. It's perfectly all right. More silence for Abel to ramble into~?]]

[stare at hand and obvious walk to the side, pfft] Yeah. I'm not too keen about being out now that we're actually being seen.

[ooc: Hooray for ramblings~]

[after a short pause, Abel looks more or less unaffected by having been ignored. He's still smiling, anyway, as he drops his hand back to the railing] Oh? Why not? It was a bit of a shock to adjust to, but I personally think it's a definite improvement.

[little surprising that he didn't insult the guy -- unsure if he's actively trying to or not at this point -- still needs to learn to play nice with others] We're all not exactly normal -- even those that can blend in have something ... off about them. It's ... annoying.

My goodness, but what does being normal have to do with that? Have the ordinary citizens of Template been causing them trouble? [despite the flippant tone and his curiosity, he seems genuinely interested]

Thinking the less than normal are demons and otherwise staring. Like I said, it's annoying. Not like they aren't too far off with me, but... ch' ... I just won't be depressed when we return to being ignored, invisible, whatever it is.

Are the people here really so superstitious? [he's looking a little incredulous, now] And demons, of all things! That seems a tad ridiculous.

devilbrought April 19 2008, 20:56:53 UTC
Can't say if it's superstitious or just how people are around ... odd things -- haven't been around that many other people and kept to myself until we could be seen. [shrug] Almost sounds like something she would say.

Ah, I see. It's understandable for them to be afraid when we all just suddenly appeared here, though, isn't it? It must look like an invasion to them!
