Another Sunday Night
Another sunday night is here and the weekend is gone. I have not gotten nearly as much studying done as I needed to and I will pay for this greatly in the days to come. However I did have a great time hanging out with some friends I haven't seen in a while.
Mikey Chao and I are the new posterboys for diversity on TV One (click here: www.tv-one.tv) because on friday night Mikey and I were out dancing the night away at Dream, where TV One was hosting an event. Anyway, to make a long story short, we were early, because we are cheap and didn't want to pay the cover, and the guy directing the TV camera grabbed us (you know, me being the only caucasian in attendance and Mikey being the only Asian) and had us record a TV promo for them where we said into the camera (me way more energetically than Mikey I might add) "You're on the One with TV One!" Go us.
All in all it was an awesome night. We met up with some of my classmates and had a good time. They played pretty good hip-hop (by that I mean Outkast, but not Ludacris, which disappointed me a little). They also played a remake of Rappers Delight, done by female rappers ... boy was that a song that was NOT in need of a remake.
The night ended with a trip to 711 for microwave burrittos and nachos ... mmm mmm good.
Last night I took some money from some of my good friends in a game of Texas Hold 'Em. So 3 dollars isn't a lot, but it's winnings ... and it payed for my chicken nuggets tonight. We should do that again soon.
Then today I coached my sisters basketball team to a huge win 50-31. Of course the other coach (my dad) and my sister were both out of town. We were missing 3 of our top 4 draft picks, but the 5 we had there came up big. Our center had a breakout game with 26 points, while our Foriegn exchange student from Denmark, who had not played organized basketball before this year put in 16 (in Denmark she is a seriously competitive team Handball player and one of the most gifted athelets I've even coached). So all in all a great weekend.
