He doesn't hesitate to approach, just ambles over easily and leans against the back of the metal bench. He takes a pull from his beer and doesn't bother to hide the smirk gracing his lips as he looks down at his seated double.
"Hey."

Definitely worthy of a double take.
He could have sworn earlier that he had already been prepared for the possibility of running across himself. But it would have been a lie.
After a short pause he said "Hey. Nice shirt." Downing the last of his ice water in one gulp he continued with "Is this what it's like to be dead?"

"Have you been able to make sense of this city?" It was hard to look at another Gideon in the face and not think it was a mirror. "It's been eating at me since, since..." he paused before he continued talking "How or where did you find yourself here?"
After briskly tossing the empty water bottle into a trash bin, he glanced at the park as well as the others there. Of course it was peaches and cream for them. Their most recent memory before winding up here wasn't being sliced up.

Gideon stares down at his beer bottle, swishing the remainder of its contents around, observing the play of reflections in the liquid.
"I haven't been able to find any cause for this version of Toronto, or our resurrection. Not yet, at least."

Gideon furrowed his brow turning that phrase over in his head. A gathering place that exists outside of time? Of course there was the possibility this was all a screwed up dream. An incredibly painful realistic dream.
"So you've seen the edge of town too then." he rested his arm on the back of the bench and looked over to his double. "And died the way I did." Curiosity overcoming him he instantly asked "How do you feel about Ramona now that you're back?"
He was still collecting himself after his revival. Something he had only seen Scott do.
"Don't worry, you can tell me. I'm you after all, right?" finally that familiar smirk played across his lips.

"And what do you plan to do about Scott Pilgrim?" he asked unmoving as a brief gust of wind whipped at his shirt and hair.

At the wind, Gideon pauses to brush a strand of his hair back behind his ear, then snorted at the question. "Pilgrim will undoubtedly come after me once she breaks the news to him. I suppose we'll have to fight. Not that I'm worried. No extra life and no Ramona to back him up? It'll be a breeze."

"Definitely. It took me awhile to adjust, myself. It's never too easy coming to terms with your own death, especially at the hands of someone you hate," Gideon nods. "And if you're talking about the apartment that you stayed in prior to the opening of the Toronto Chaos, yeah. It's still there. The geography of this place is all intact and as it should be, bottomless cliffs aside."

"I think I'll go crash there then. At least the town's the same. I guess I'll see you around chief. In the mirror or in person. One or the other."
Giving a back handed wave as he walked off past the entrance to the park. Too much stuff to think about at a late hour.

Probably, anyway.
