It wasn't exactly pleasant going poom.
That thought was on both twins' minds when they came to. The fact that they came to at all was a bit of a surprise, honestly. They weren't sure what happened to enemies after they were beaten and turned into coins, and frankly, they hadn't cared; they had been so certain of their victory. Ramona wouldn't change. Pilgrim couldn't fix that. Especially at this late stage, Ramona should have been on the verge of running at any second.
Should have been.
"Are you all right, Brother?" Ken groaned in pain, rubbing his forehead with his left hand.
"Very sore, but alive. You're about the same, I take it?" Kyle groaned back, rubbing his forehead with his right hand.
"No thanks to Pilgrim." Ken narrowed his eyes. Kyle did likewise. What did that loser have that they didn't?
The two didn't have much time to dwell more on the subject, however. They hadn't noticed it at first, but as the haze in their minds started to clear, it caught their attention at about the same time. Something was different about this place. The location was still the same as the one they had been defeated in, if the checkerboard floor was anything to go by. The room definitely seemed a hell of a lot more... finished, though. It was pretty empty inside still, but there were no signs of in-progress construction anywhere.
"...How long were we out?" the Twins mused aloud at the same time, gazing around in confusion at the finished Chaos Theater.
