Genesis

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.

How profound a statement is that? Who can wrap their mind around it?
Rewind time in your mind. All the way... past medieval times, past ancient Rome, all the way to the beginning. Past the creation of Earth, and the unfolding of the Universe.

Before everything was just... God.
Just God.
Nothing else. At all.

Sit and think. Ponder that.

* * *

God created, outside of Himself, this world, and not only that, but the entire universe, just by His will. Imagine the universe unfolding, gazillions of stars, planets, meteors, everything falling into place exactly as He planned.

Really think about it. Can you even begin to comprehend?

How awesome is our God?
Words can't even come close to describing or explaining a God so huge, a God so outside of the scape of our minds. He created our minds- how then can a human expect to explain God?

So often we want nice, neat answers to our spiritual questions. We want to know Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. We want the answers packaged up neatly and delivered to us tied with a red ribbon.

But how can a God so awesome be delivered in such a small package? If we could comprehend God, or even begin to understand ANYTHING, then wouldn't we be the biggest thing? By God's being outside of our comprehension, He is the biggest thing, the greatest and most glorious.

God, in the palm of His hand, created Heaven and Earth, and everything within and without.

All of our questions, those things we want answered so nicely- they are doubts. Doubt is key to having faith! Without doubt, where is faith? If we have everything answered and given to us, what place does faith have in our lives?
How can we say we live by faith when we demand answers?
