There was at least one person who knew exactly what day today was and... he would have to make up for all the missing family today.

Chuck tapped on the door before leaning into her room. "Heey-- Tell me you're still going to be hungry after that." Because he had a bag of sizzling shrimp, and while he probably could eat the whole thing himself... That was not the plan.

"Oh, this was just a pre-dinner snack," Ellie said, ginning. "And I always have room for Chinese food."

This was a Bartowski tradition, after all.

"Right. Silly me. I mean, how could I ever think someone could turn down sizzling shrimp?" He grinned, moving into the room himself and setting the bag down on her bed as he sat down near her.

"I would've done the whole surprise party thing for you too, but---" Not his forte. At all. "But if you want one, I can probably try?" he offered.

"I'm sure you could," Ellie replied. "But you don't have to. This is perfect as is."

"You have to say that." She was his sister, and older sisters had that supportive role to keep on. Chuck just had to remember birthdays.

"I hope so," Ellie admitted. It was probably a wasted wish. "Part of it came true."

Chuck smiled a little obliviously as he offered her a tub of food and chopsticks. "The better part?"
