biggest FML of my college career
It hapened yesterday, I was shocked and amazed at the same time that i was able to still pull it off. So it was 12:15P and i decide to have a nice fun and dandy afternoon with my G3 clarice. We go to CTC to pick up her new glasses, grab lunch, go to my house to pick up stuff, go to her house... i even take a tiny nap..and off it was back to LB for my 4 o clock class. It's 3:40P and I'm about to actually ditch my 4 o clock class, but i decide to check my syllabus to see whether or not ill be missing anything important. As I look at the date APRIL 14, lo and behold it says RESEARCH PAPER DUE
NO. FUCKING. WAY. riiiigghhhhhtt???? so now i'm racing to the computer lab to check my e-mail hoping there's an e-mail from the instructor clarifying the paper. SCORE! YES! there is one and it reads. "Class is cancelled. I have a family emergency. Turn in your papers no later than 5P.M at the HHS office. THey close at 5 sharp."
WOOOOWWWWWWW....so i rush to a comp, look up the assignment details hoping that it's like a 3 - 5 page assignment...YEAH RIGHT 6-7 PAGES OF RESEARCH DUE IN AN HOUR! So i'm B.S.-ing left and right finding journal articles-anything that i could possibly use as APA references and as part of the paper. Luckily i chose HIV/AIDS as a topic so it wasn't too hard.
I missd the 5 o clock deadline, but was able to print out my paper WITHOUT PROOFREADING SHIT, run to the HHS office and submit it by 6:20. The office was closed but luckily a professor had to access the office so she was able to slip my paper in my teacher's mailbox.
Until now, I can't believe how dumb i was for NOT even KNOWING or THINKING about this responsibility and this whole past weekend i'm thinking i'm all fine and dandy. PSSSSHH, MOOOTEDDD BIG TIME. I'm still AMAZED though that i was able to pull off this moment....and to think this research paper is worth like 1/3 of my grade. WOW. College is insane sometimes.
