so i:
+ drove from sacramento to new orleans and it was amazing
+ went to mexico. and it was dirty and awesome. we went to bars and stuff.
+ we got hotels near Los angeles, ca. in tuscon, az. fort stockton, tx. and near houston.
+ got drunk for free on bourbon st. everyone was dressed up for halloweekend.
+ painted a school that was real effed up.
+ am in biloxi, mississippi now.
+ de-molded a house and now im coughing up mucus. YUM.
+ tutored kids
+ reverse trickortreated. where we went door to door giving them presents. it was refreshing to see how happy they got over a cheap friendship bracelet. we also got invited in to listen to stories. one guy was saying how cops keep coming up to his house and telling him he is in the red zone. the problem is that there is nowhere else to put it. it made me mad. he said, "everywhere is a redzone for black people." then he went on to talk about how he loved all women and stuff. he was cute.
+ helped a woman today. she had a four year-old and a seven year-old and she is giving birth in three weeks. her husband left for a business opportunity and hasnt returned yet. she has no propane or food. so i walked her to the food bank and they gave her canned food but it wasnt much so i went with her to walmart and bought her some things that she needed. it wasnt much money but she was really happy about it.
let me just say that destruction caused from katrina is much worse in person. and biloxi is far worse than new orleans. it is surrounded by water and in some places the storm surges were 13 feet high. after the storm, nothing on the coast was left pretty much. but biloxi is getting more done than new orleans. president bush said "biloxi is the golden child of the gulf coast." whatever i have more thoughts on this matter.
I HAVE TO DO STUFF BYE
