I'm going by my friend Stratton's house today to check out his recent batch of keirin frames.
He has a bomber pro, kiyo, and 2 bridgestone's with 52cm TT's. I'm taking a pair of wheels with me to check the standover.
I had asked him for another 47cm DeBernardi but the smallest the italians sent to the us were 49's. Same TT's I hear, but 49's have a high standover. I'm already sitting on the TT of the 47.
Stratton is the greatest. He's cool with me picking a bike out and if he ever gets one smaller then he'll trade me. But it's highly unlikely we'll see anything smaller. I want a Kazane in my size but that's years a way.
Everyone should check out Stratton's site: Keirinculture.com
My DeBernardi had a 51.5 TT (as did my custom track bike); my Makino had a 52.5; the new one today will have a 52 TT.
UGH I hate being small. I road a 90mm stem on the DeBernardi and I have the bars practically level with the seat. My new bike is going to have an 80mm stem and high bars too.
I should just joke it out and put flat bars on. Fuck it.
I just want the track bike for when I'm feeling lazy with my pedal stroke. I'm always trying to slack off.
After Stratton's, I'm going to get some baking supplies, I need to make treats for my little brother's birthday on Sunday.
