*upon returning to Ophara, is wandering past the comic book store when she spots Ace* *considers for a moment before entering and walking up to her* Ace, is it? *holds out her hand to shake* I'm Gwen.

*smiles, nodding and shakes her hand* All right?

*laughs a bit* Jack just thought we should... chat, and when I saw you through the window... *shrugs* No time like the present, you know.

*chuckles* That's cool. I'm just gonna buy these *holds up a few comics* and we can go chat. *pays for them and stuffs them in her bookbag which, if one were to look, is full of explosives, possibly a few guns, a baseball bat, and a half-eaten Scotch egg* Right, you wanna go grab lunch or something?

*being a good copper, she notes most of the items in the bag and inwardly facepalms* Right, yes, lunch. *leads her to the door* Anything you want in particular?

*smiles* Nah, anything's good. They don't have proper chippy chips yet so, I'm not too bothered. So..you're Welsh. *chuckle* The accent gives it away a bit. I'm from London. Though I've not been home in a while. Been in the space corp fighting Daleks. Been ages since I heard a proper Welsh accent. *happy!smile*

*grins* Well, I could do for something - anything - fried, really. *steers her toward a diner-esque little hole in the wall place, smiling gently* The space corp? What's that then?

*chuckles* It's...well, sort of an army to be honest. The last great time war spread everywhere...'cept home. The Time Lords are very protective of Earth. *slides in a booth somewhere* Anyway, it wasn't just the Time Lords fighting. Other species too. The Professor had taken me to Gallifrey to enter the academy. But...well, the Professor and I kinda...went our separate ways and I travelled round a bit then joined up. *looks a bit haunted for a bit then blinks and smiles* But it's over now so...I had free time.

*slides in across from her* An army, eh? *looks impressed* That'll come in handy with Torchwood - Jack'll need you loads, I'm sure. *thinks* Whose this Professor bloke, then? Another Time Lord? *oblivious!* *peruses the menu*

*smiles a bit* I hope to be of some help anyway. I learned a lot with the corp but...I hope it never comes to that sort of fighting again. I joined up for a bit of adventure. Once you travel with the Professor, you become addicted to it. But..had I known...I'd've just went home to Perivale, gone to Uni or something. *smiles* Oh, sorry. That's what I call the Doctor. It's sort of...a pet name for him.

*smiles sympathetically* Well, I hope it never comes anywhere close a war, myself. *laughs a bit* I really don't know what to expect here on Ophara - truth is, we had quite enough trouble in Cardiff, and there we had home field advantage. *shrugs* I suppose we'll all just have to see, won't we? *grins* Ah, a pet name? Which one did you travel with, then?

Improvise is what the Professor always says. *chuckles* Oh, um, he's not here.

*laughs* Well, improvisation is the Torchwood special. *age nod* Oh, that's a shame. I only really know the most recent... editions, myself. *smiles*

Yeah, I sort of know the recent ones, I guess. They're..um, a bit different than mine. Younger-looking for one. So what about you? Did you travel with the Profesor?

I only just met him. *blushes a bit and studies the menu more intently*
