Last night, Lilly got stabbed. It gets a little hazy after that, but she's fairly sure that she's going to live... as much as she generally does

Alanna doesn't like it when her friends get stabbed.
On the other hand, said stabbing also tends to make them immobile and thus a captive audience, so she's learned to take the bad with the good.
She arrives on Lilly's doorstep with rum, a healing poultice, several herbs for mixing in hot liquid and a racy novel she picked up from Bar. It is perhaps not surprising that the cover is the cause of her rather spectacular blush.
"Lilly?" she calls, nudging the door open and sticking her head through.
It's hard not to laugh at the expression on her face; Alanna manages, if only because she wrinkles her nose at the pain pills.
"I brought you a poultice and some herbs for tea. They should help with healing, if you don't want me to heal it first?" She bites her lip and raises her eyebrows. "I assume someone did something..."
"Moiraine did the wavey hand light thingy, but it only kinda worked, and she was going to explain maybe, or at least be serenely cryptic about it but then Mike volunteered to do stitches and Coyote gave me a drink and then it all gets a liiiittle fuzzy."
There's a disapproving frown at that, because although alcohol can help cut the pain on the battlefield, there are better ways to handle things here, with so much at their disposal.
"It only partially helped? Moiraine is quite good, so I don't know how much more I can do, but if you wish me to I will try.
"And I am of the opinion that Mike's brownies always help."
Alanna sighs, flopping down on the couch by Lilly's feet. Unless her help is accepted, she knows she can't heal. But there's something else she might be able to do.
Lilly clearly still finds that far too amusing. Ah, drugs.
"I went for a walk in the woods, and it was dark and spooky, and I ran into some strange girl with an itchy knife hand, and she stabbed me and then freaked out."
"Not too much, really. It was only moonlit, and I was bleeding. She was maybe around my age, dark hair, kinda curly? But that's about all I remember. Coyote was there, she might know more."
"Bar." She clears her throat. Speaking rapidly, she explains, "I found something similar left on the table once and flipped through it before putting it in lost and found."
Where 'flipped through it' means taking it home to read it first and then discussing it in detail with her baffled husband.
"I can't imagine that it's considered literature in any world, but there you have it. Just don't expect me to read it aloud!"

Lilly's smile is genuine if not overly focused.
"Hi, Stabby. I'm totally stealing your thing. Sorry?"

She kicks the door shut and dumps her armful of supplies beside the couch, healer's eyes automatically looking Lilly over.
"How are you feeling?"

Lilly gestures at the pain pills.
"I'm on the upside of my drugs right now. S'all good. It won't start really hurting again for ages."

That's because she hasn't had a SPECIAL brownie.

Lilly waves a hand aimlessly.
"Lights are on, but the magic wasn't home. Or something. Mike did stitching, because he's awesome."

Part of her is raging to go track this person down and give her a firm lecture on responsibility.
"Do you remember anything about her appearance?"

Lilly thinks back.

Business sorted, she grins and holds up the book, taking great care not to look directly at the heaving bosoms and rippling muscles on the cover.
"I brought you a present. Thought it might amuse you."
Especially with pain pills.

"Whoa, 'lanna! You've been totally holding out on me. Where did you get a book like that?"

Lilly's lip starts quivering. Her eyes get suspiciously bright. (It's a gift.)
"You're not going to read The Pirate's Booty II: Wind-Powered Plunderoo to me? While I lay here on my sickbed?"
