Happy Holidaze
I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. It seems just like yesterday I was passed out in my friend's bathroom celebrating the arrival of 2006. I can't say I'm going to miss this year too much; it really hasn't been a good year. I'm still reeling from losing both my aunt and my dog. And despite finally moving out of the 'rents' house and getting a place of my own, I still feel like I'm stuck in neutral regarding my job and my "social life"...or lackof. Still, things could be much worse for me and I'm (cautiously) looking forward to 2007.
Looks like I'll be spending Christmas Eve and Christmas night working. Kind of sucks but somebody's got to keep the Black Family Channel running. And my schedule will work out well enough that I won't really miss anything. As long as I get New Year's Eve completely off I'm content. Now I'm just hoping that there will be something worthwhile going on that night.
My dad is currently on a business trip touring places like South Korea, Hong Kong and China. I've talked to him briefly and he seems to be enjoying himself. He even got to visit the place he was stationed at during the Korean War. He's taking pictures of everything and if any of those pictures turn out ok I'll post some of them on my picture sites. Of course, his eye sight is pretty bad and he doesn't really know how to operate a digital camera very well so don't hold your breath.
Last night I attended the annual Crawford Communications holiday party. It was a pretty nice event overall followed by joining some co-workers at a bar afterwards. I had a decent time although I sort of felt like I should have been enjoying myself a little more. Was just not "feeling it" totally I guess. Couldn't really understand feeling disappointed afterwards.
Anyway, that's what has been going on with me lately. Hope that everyone else is enjoying the holidays!
