Ok, seriously
I bought a house. I love my job. This is happening in GAINESVILLE FLORIDA. Part of me feels like buying a home is the clearly obvious next step at least for investment purposes. Part of me is thrilled that I'm conducting microbiology research and that I'm blessed enough to thoroughly enjoy my coworkers. And another part of me is going "THIS IS HAPPENING IN GAINESVILLE. WTF?! HOW IS IT THAT YOU'RE SETTLING INTO THIS SECURITY IN GAINESVILLE?!" I mean, i know that the dynamic of having ambitious research scientists working together in this dynamic, free of laboratory politics and efforts to destroy eachother with ego, is a good set of circumstances and my job description has changed significantly in a good direction. I just can't believe I'm accomplishing this in this town. I'm still here. But good things are happening. WTF.
