I laughed out loud more than once at the Halloween antics of children and Pax! We managed to keep Phantom in the house, though she has been trying to run out lately. We only had four trick-or-treaters, one singly (with parents behind) and one trio of siblings (probably). It's about par for the course in this neighborhood, sadly.

I'm glad your mother is doing better, and I hope you'll get rid of those stones soon!

We had way more trick-or-treaters this year than we have for a while. We had over a hundred pieces of candy to give out and ran out before the night was done. In the last Halloween we did, I think we had maybe 30ish kids come around. There's been a lot of construction in the neighbourhood and a lot of young families moving in, though, so I guess that correlates. Halloween has never been my thing as I hate scary things and am allergic to soy and food colouring, so there was nothing enjoyable about it as a child except I liked to play dress up, but I always liked handing candy out, so I used to dress up and do that. I'm always happy when it's over though, and all the regular programming comes back and isn't so spooky anymore.
