Hello all! I hope you are doing well. It's been kidney stone central here again, unfortunately. I passed a huge 5mm stone and then a bunch of littler stones have followed. Thankfully, the pain wasn't too awful, there was only one period of about three hours where I was in that 'I don't know what to do with myself' state. Otherwise it's been more ' ( Read more... )

I hope you're through that flare-up now. How miserable!

And poor Pax.

Good luck getting your voice back in shape! I love to sing but never really had a good voice. My husband does, and he has had some training, so he tried to train me. It went miserably, and I cut it very short. I must confess some envy of those who can really sing.

I had some voice lessons when I was younger, before I first got sick as a teenager, and I was in the school choir and a few musicals, and I wrote and directed a couple of plays as well. My mom's family is super musical on her mother's side. Her uncle could play piano by ear; when my mom got married there was a piece of music she wanted for the ceremony but the sheet music hadn't been published yet. She played the record for her uncle once and he sat down and played it perfectly. And my nana had this gorgeous, lovely soprano voice. When my grandma died (dad's mother), she came to the funeral and was at the back of the church and you could hear her over everyone else singing all the way at the front.

I would have like to do more theatre if I hadn't got sick, even if it was just community stuff. But maybe one day. :-)

I hope you can do community theater after we're back to something more like normal! My husband has done it and had a lot of fun.
