Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

Far less, but, like most people it seems, I have not had the greatest year. I've been passing kidney stones all year long for reasons yet to be found, and between that and the migraines and tooth issues, not to mention Mom having her surgery, my mind has not been very fit for writing stuff. I'm happy with everything I've put out.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2015?

Star Wars, I guess? I've never written it before, but I finally saw The Force Awakens this Fall and was totally enamoured. Also, I wasn't expecting my original story to have so much interest in it, that was really cool. I didn't write as much as this year, but I was a little more varied in what I wrote, so that's a step forward.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?

No Repairs Needed, I think. I was really happy with how that one turned out. It was one of the ones that made it out of my head just like I wanted.

What's your least favorite story of the year, regardless of the reviews it got (or didn't get)?

Like I said, everything I got out I'm happy with, and I think I've done better at my goal this year of trying to pare down my words and keep stories shorter and more to the point.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

Apparently, people are interested in vampire medical examiners who like to knit. I had no idea what I was doing when I wrote that, but the response was really great and I have learned to maybe try more original stuff.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

I'd like to explore my vampire a little more for sure, and we'll see what else happens. Hopefully my body and brain will feel more themselves this year.

As always, thanks to everyone who wandered by to read and/or comment this year. I love having you all around and chatting to you. It's been almost ten years of this journal (I think in March? Or May?) and you all have really brought wonderful things to my life over the years.
