Yay, more daemon-verse!

She'd never expected to lose Sherlock in that way-she hadn't known it was all fake at the time. It was devastating. Especially after John went away and hid from her.

This is so true-devastating is exactly the right word for it. Poor Mrs. Hudson, having to go through all that alone (or with Carwyn).

She'd tried in the past, and there was just no way to explain Sherlock to someone who didn't know him properly.

That’s exactly right, hahaha.

“Sometimes we want a big, manly bloke with a wolf or tiger dæmon to have mad, passionate sex with us. It's not even about the plot or the characters. You just sort of skim through to the steamy bits.”

Hahaha, I knew I liked Jasmine! She gets it.

(Also, I’d never noticed before that the needle box symbol does look like a spider! So cool!)

I really like how Mrs. Hudson and Carwyn talk to each other, how they just kind of chat to each other like old friends, and he stole my heart when he nuzzled her cheek at the end. They seem so lovely and natural together; it’s why I really adore this verse. This was lovely!

Mrs Hudson struck me as a woman who does a lot of talking to herself as she goes about her life, and I think that manifested itself with her and Carwyn kind of constantly checking in with one another. The fact that Carwyn sounds very much like Bernard Cribbins in my head also helped the general chatteriness, too, I think.

I'm glad you enjoy the story! I wanted to get a chance to experiment with all the different daemons, so I've been having a lot of fun with it. Thanks for reading and commenting!
