Just a couple of photographs from Thursday night when I went to Old Pueblo Trolley, Inc.'s most recent Board of Directors meeting.
The Bus Division had undertaken a major effort to return Old Pueblo Transit Company No. 135 to roadworthy condition. Rather than just mention it as a line item in a report, I figured it might have more of an impact if we presented something a little more substantial. So I took off work early and drove the coach to the meeting.
I parked the coach in front of the City Council offices and as our members arrived, everyone came over to inspect the coach. Council member Steve Kozachick (a big long time supporter of OPT) cut a meeting short to come out and check out the coach and other staff members also stopped by to check it out as they left for the day.
Funny thing was that on my way over to the meeting, I noted a couple of guys standing in the middle of the side street I was driving down. I wasn't sure what they were doing, but as I approached, they stepped to the side of the street and flagged me down. Turns out they saw me coming down the street and pulled out a camera to film the bus! These photos were taken at the council offices after the meeting. I turned on the camera's flash and every light on the coach. They came out all right.
