12th Wheel of Fate [Action]

[So. Someone's been awfully bored after being stuck indoors for almost two weeks. Sure, reading books at least made the time pass a little faster, but said someone isn't overly fond of not being able to stay outside as usual. What does that mean right now? Merely that there's a suspicious lack of one Murakumo unit in Community Building 3, room 22 ( Read more... )

[Since we know a certain demon will avoid the forest as much as possible and doesn't want to go in the village right now, this will be around nighttime when she's going to be camping out.

And he's glad to find her, since they did have a few things to discuss, like continuing that conversation about what this place does to their worlds and him explaining about True Runes and how to deal with the idiots of his world. Oh, and that dress does look really cute on her.]

[She's simply going to smile once she spots him. She'd actually been hoping to run into him - though even if that hadn't happened, she'd likely just have headed to the desert sometime during the next few days. That would... likely have taken a while, though, so this is definitely convenient, to say the least.

...And yes, it does, though she's really only wearing it because her normal outfit is still pretty torn from that last fight. She probably won't wear it again for quite some time once her bodysuit's fixed.]

[Well, it's nice to be able to teleport and go check and see if she was in a usual spot without much of a bother, or just change up what locations he was in so the silly humans couldn't find him unless he wanted to be found.]

I think we had a few conversations to continue?

Yeah, we did. [Something about the effect that their stay in this world has on their own world as well as these... runes he mentioned, if she's remembering everything correctly.

...She's admittedly a bit more curious about the latter, but she'll let him decide what he wants to explain first.]

[Both things aren't exactly simple explanations though. But he likes annoying Ted by blabbing the boy's secret, so he'll mention that first.

And the easiest way is to start is to show what one looks like, so he's going to actually remove the glove on his right hand since that particular rune isn't incredibly unique, she'll be able to see something in his hand that looks very much like a greenish lightning bolt. He'll let her see it, and if she wants to try and touch it, he's not going to pull away because well, it's her and she can touch him all she wants.] This would be one of our runes, it's the one that gives me lightning based magic. About anyone from my world is likely to have some type of rune since they grant special abilities.

[And Nu probably now knows why the gloves, if someone knows what runes you have, they know what you are capable of and that can lessen an advantage you have over someone.]

[She's content with simply looking at it, actually. Looks like they're a bit more similar to something like her Azure Grimoire than the Armagus... hm.]

I see... But what about the one that boy might still have? Um... The Soul Eater Rune, right? [The way he talked about that last time made it sound like that one might be dangerous, so... she can't help but to wonder about it.]

[Once she stops looking, he's going to put his glove back on.] Yes, the Soul Eater Rune. That one requires a bit more explanation. About the simplest way to explain it is to say that it is one of 27 special runes called True Runes. They grant incredible magical powers, immortality and are actually sentient. [Because who would know better than another True Rune bearer who has to deal with that fact all the time.] The Soul Eater has powers over life and death and actually devours the souls of those close to its bearer to gain in power.

[Sentient runes that grant incredible magical power and immortality... Is that why he asked if the Azure Grimoire grants immortality and is sentient back when they talked after the draft? Hmm...

...That aside, this is actually making her worry a little, though she'll be trying not to let that fact show.]

Then... Is that why you said I shouldn't get too close to him?

[That is exactly why he asked. To him great magic power is gotten from something that grants immortality and slowly can drive one insane. And of course describing the Soul Eater in such a way sure does work to drive people away from Ted quickly.] Yes, him and another boy who wears mostly red along with a green scarf in his hair. The second boy does have it, but it is unknown if it changed who bears it or if there are two because of the strangeness of this place and the times it takes people from. [Because Ted unfortunately doesn't talk much about his rune and he's hard to drive into using it, Tir is much easier to get to that point.]

[Wait a minute... Someone with a green scarf in his hair and who wears mostly red? Hasn't she talked to someone like over the journals? What was his name again...? ...Oh, right.]

...That other boy isn't called Tir, is he? [She only got to see him briefly over the journals back when they talked, but the description does seem to match up, so...]

[He thinks for a moment, because really, Yuber is horrible with names because he doesn't care enough about humans to really remember that and he's met so many in his life.] Might be. I don't usually bother to recall the names of those humans I'm asked to hunt down and kill, since they only die when I make them bleed.

[Hm. That's... not quite enough of a confirmation for her, so just to be sure, she's going to take out her journal, lock an entry to herself and draw a quick sketch of Tir based on what she remembers from that brief moment she got to see him over the journals. Once that's done, she'll show the sketch to Yuber.]

Um... Does he look like this? [Because if that's him, well... It might be worth it to keep an eye on him just to make sure he doesn't get too close to Ragna or Noel, as unlikely as that may be in the former's case. Same for Ted, naturally.]

[He looks over the sketch, and he's rather impressed at how good she draws, even if the style is well...interesting.] Yes, that's him. The rune itself would be on his right hand. Each rune looks different so if you know them well, it is easy to figure out what powers someone from my world has.

[Hey, at least she didn't add sparkles. She does have a habit of doing that...

But anyway, that's good to hear. At least that means she knows who to keep an eye on now. So he and Ted could be dangerous if people get too close to them... nice to know about something like that in advance.]

I see... [Hmm...]

...What about the other True Runes? [The Soul Eater one alone sounds pretty dangerous, so... she's admittedly a little curious about the others.]

[Action] blackenedchaos May 13 2010, 19:41:27 UTC
Only two others you need to be concerned about since they are here. [Because he really doesn't know about the Dawn Rune, though that is questionable as a True Rune anyhow.] The only ones that are a concern are True Fire and True Wind because they are here. True Fire's bearer is very young an inexperienced and could be dangerous because of his lack of control.

[And note his amusing lack of mention of his own rune, not like it would be hard to figure out once it's obvious he's over 300 years old.]

[True Fire... That one sounds fairly self-explanatory, judging from its name.]

Hmm... I see. So that one's dangerous because he doesn't have much experience... [She'd ask for a description, but right now, curiosity's getting the better of her.]

...What about the other one? [A wind-based rune doesn't seem that dangerous... but then again, if it's in the wrong hands, even something like that could probably be troublesome.]
