37th Wheel of Fate [Action]

[Today is a fairly busy day for the thirteenth Murakumo.

It's been more than a week since her own run-in with Kusanagi - enough time that she's almost completely recovered, thanks to acuitas's healing leaving her with only the blood loss and one minor complication to deal with. Most of that time, she'd spent resting or trying to occupy herself with other ( Read more... )

[It's certainly an interesting fight he'll find himself treated to, at least. The green-haired man in question seems to fight using a pair of butterfly knives at close-range, and some sort of snake-like chain at long-range, while ν-13 seems to be focused on remaining at a distance, summoning swords to launch in his directions. But what also stands out is the setting: it bears some semblance to an aerial port of sorts at night, a light drizzle adding a slightly bleak atmosphere to the place.

Sometimes, the swords and the chain cancel each other out. At other times, they don't, and the two combatants dodge to the side or jump... or, when they don't, they find themselves greeted with a chain of followup attacks in the form of one of the following:

-When the sword connects, the follow-up consists of more swords followed by a row of them shooting up to catch the man off-guard and launch him into the air, generally followed by either another volley of swords or by the Murakumo jumping and spinning to slice at him with the eight blades at her back, then knock him back down to the ground using a more crescent-like blade
-When the chain connects, it's followed by the green-haired man using it to pull himself over to the Murakumo, followed by... well, a visual reference is probably better for this scenario, really.

Considering the battle dome's opponents tend to be weaker than their "real" counterparts, this particular enemy seems to be faring relatively well against someone like the Murakumo. But make sure to enjoy the show while it lasts, Giles - someone's not planning to let this fight go on for particularly long.]

[This is actually the first look Giles has gotten at Nu's fighting style. And a couple of minutes in, he'll...actually start taking some very quick notes on what he's seeing. He focuses largely on Nu's tactics, having no idea who the green haired man is or even if he's in Luceti.

So, yes, he is definitely enjoying the show. Or, well, enjoying might not be the right word. But you've got his attention, v-13.]

[After a while, the fight slowly shifts in the Murakumo's favor - until, eventually, instead of following one of her blades with another, she disappears and reappears in front of her opponent, grabbing on to her opponent with both arms while she speaks.]

Releasing Murakumo unit. Deploying dimensional interference force field.

[She lets go, but the green-haired man nonetheless remains locked in place - part of whatever ν-13 is doing seems to involve something that keeps the opponent from moving away after she grabs them. Either way, her eight blades start spinning as she continues to speak, eventually launching upwards as she raises her right hand.]

O silver blade forged in the depths of the beyond, heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way...

...Perish.[And with that last word, she lowers her hand again, sending a gigantic blade crashing into her opponent...

...and ending the simulation. With that, she'll deactivate her armor and head back to the main hall for the time being.]

[...Giles stays with one hand braced against the viewing window for several long, bad seconds after Nu exists. Unconsciously, his other hand goes to his chest, where one of Mu's blades sliced through him.

But eventually he sighs, shakes his head as though to clear it, and leaves. He'll hit the main hall just a few paces behind Nu.]

...you're a girl of many talents.

[ν-13 doesn't actually seem to take note of Giles until he speaks. Once she does, however, she'll turn to look at him, her expression and voice remaining as emotionless as always. Looks like he must have seen her fight just now...]

Talents...? [That's... not necessarily the term she would use. She's a skilled combatant, sure, but that's not so much what most would consider a natural talent as it simply is something she's literally made to be. There wouldn't be any point in creating a weapon that's useless in battle, right?]

Yes. I was just watching your little sparring match. Well done.

...the last person I saw with quite such a diverse fighting style was Rachel.

[That... actually makes her stop moving momentarily. She recognizes that name, doesn't she?]

Searching database... searching... searching... searching... Complete.

...Rachel Alucard...?

["I am Rachel Alucard... Merely an audience for your dream."

...He knows that girl, then? The one she'd seen in her dream, back in their own world... and a few times here in Luceti, but that dream still stands out the most to her.]

[Ragne and Noel both knew Nu.

Ragna most certainly knew Rachel.

...Giles is still deeply suspicious and deeply dislikes the Murakumo Unit, but he can't resist a puzzle with pieces being put together.]

Rachel Alucard, yes.

Small, blonde vampire? Fond of tea? Generally disdainful of the world in general?

Comparing description to existing data... Processing...

...Match confirmed. [It's the same Rachel Alucard, alright. He must have met her while she was still here in Luceti, then. Unless someone told him about her... but that description sounds more like he actually encountered her himself.]

You do know her, then.

...was she from the same world as you?

[Action] awakenedchaos July 2 2011, 21:18:42 UTC
...Affirmative. [As far as she can tell. Rachel is classified as a peripheral element... but since she encountered her in their world, she qualifies as being from there.

...Even if that one encounter was in a dream. Some... how. She's not entirely certain how that was possible, honestly.]

Well. It seems that Luceti really is a small world.

...Noel has returned. As Noel. Not...not whatever she was. Not "Mu".

...Statement determined to be impossible.

["Noel" truly not being Mu would likely require multiple death penalties. After all, it's what she is - a fact that's difficult to alter, regardless of what anyone may claim. She can't exactly change what she is, either, after all.]

...good to know.

...is it possible for Noel to return believing that she hasn't returned as Mu?

[Action] awakenedchaos July 3 2011, 14:21:57 UTC
["Hasn't returned as Mu"?]

...Affirmative. [If she's in denial of what she is, then it's certainly possible. It doesn't actually change that fact, however. Noel is and always will be Mu. Unless she ends up dying so many times that everything that makes her Mu stops being relevant... but at that point, you probably can't call her "Noel" anymore, either.]
