In other news...I found a free optical pyrometer while my friend and I were scrounging for stuff with which to make her sculpture. For those of you that aren't well acquainted with the intricacies of MIT culture, in the basements and hallways of most of the buildings you can often find piles of random junk with a sign saying something like "Take me" or "Yard Sale! 0$!", and you can find all sorts of things like broken toilet bowls, window panes, drag racer roll cages, and antique science equipment! Basically you look at really hot things with it and it tells you what their temperature is.

Ok...sorry I'm obviously WAY too excited about this. I gotta go melt some rocks...
