(no subject)
Alright, a highlight of the eventide:
-papi drove us downtown
-we arrived, uncle saw and rescued us from the evil line up
-went inside and saw ange and group of his friends, with frank in the middle
-i, suddenly shy and uncomfortable, wave demurely and hide
-andrew introduces mel to his friends while i stand there like a numbnuts, cause that's what i do lol
-we go sit on some stools facing the stage and watch a fairly crappy band play
-rick comes over and chats me up, but because i am deaf, i do not understand most of what he's saying which makes him laugh
-after a while, frank comes over and says: 'hey, you don't say hi anymore?'
-i go into shock, ha no, i say: 'i did, i waved'; frank mimics me, i do the psh move and he laughs
-we chat a bit, but i am still deaf, so he leans closer...still deaf though
-then he walks away, rick talks a bit more then walks back to the group
-then Harlot starts to set up
-i look around, but none of the people who said they'd go showed up
-we drink; Harlot takes the stage; we go into the pit--we are the only ones there
-Mel gets drunk and sways as she takes pictures, but has a really good time and headbangs and dances around
-people flood the pit, one attempting to crowd surf, many paying hommage to the devil
-show's over, fUSER strolls in, top-hat atop his head (I am reminded of '...lets go away together...') my lord, for all the gayitude, he is *hot*
-we talk with nikki, mikey, and show the pics we took to everyone
-then, frank comes over to say he's leaving, says he'll see me later and pauses before putting his arms out and hugging me
-that's where my brain stopped.
