On Fire

It's been a long time since I've updated, as usual. It's also been a very interesting series of events since then.

I got fired at Subway. Illegally.
Yeah, I got sick, had to miss 2 days of work, and then they told me they'd have to replace me untill I was able to work again. When I went to pick up my paycheck, they said I needed to return my uniform. So, I called the manager, while I was still at the store...she said that, what she had told me before was a polite way of saying I was fired.

Regardless, God has bless me. I was entirely sick of Subway (though I still love the food.) and the people that work there. So, enter the new job. I was told by a member of my church, that there was an opening where he worked. The Fredericksburg Auto Auction. Sweet. Position? Security guard. S'right, yo. I am officially a rent-a-cop, now. The pay is better, the benefits...actually exist, and I'm promised a 40-hour week.

Enough of that, though. The real news is what I did on Friday and Saturday.
I went to Aquire The Fire. Now...I know the majority of people who read this will have no idea what that is. It's a Christian youth event, where teenagers and young adults come from all over to attend a day-and-a-half long event, which boils down to a really long, but fun church service. There were two Christian bands, and the regular praise band. Truth be told, I enjoyed the praise band more than the others, but that's just me.

All in all, my devotion Christ has been tempered, my defiance against Satan has been strengthened, and my courage to stand up for what I believe in has been reinforced greatly. Now, I'm just waiting for Battle Cry in May. I can't wait for it.
