So glad to hear about Jane's continuing improvement - and so sorry to hear about your illness! I'm happy to hear you're on the mend. And please tell Jane that for all my youth and technological savvyness, if you put a coffee machine in front of me, I wouldn't have a clue what to do. Maybe next time I visit, she can walk me through it. :)
Yes, Jane really is doing well, and always in new & suprising ways. Today, for instance, Jane & I went for a walk. It's been quite some time since we've helped Jane get dressed, or chosen her clothes. (Jane has always had a strong sense of what she wants to wear.) I found her walking shoes and gave them to her. It was only after she had put them on that I realized she hadn't tied a pair of shoes since before her fall
( ... )
Well, it wasn't my favourite fic, exactly... but I was fond of it. And I did name myself after a coffee-addicted vampire (Private Maladict).
I came back from the "boonies" at the end of last week. It wasn't really that far away - a three hour drive. I ended up coming home for two of the weekends - once because I was sick and once to go to a concert.
I do look forward to visiting again, though it probably won't be for at least a couple of years. I have this little medical degree to finish, after all. :)
I didn't know where Private Maladict came from. And why would you let something trivial, like a medical degree, obstruct your visiting?
By the way, Michael Moore has a new film out, "Sicko", this documenting the *ahem* ills of the US medical system. Of which there are many. Of which many I face. Looking forward to seeing that, right after HP5.
Glad you're getting in for the basics -- healing & concerts. And maybe Mike, too?
