weekend in Herndon
Another journal entry.
mvt and marahsk came in on Thursday. We went to the Silver Diner in Reston for dinner, because they were open late. I had some shrimp and scallop thing that was good. Friday after work we went to Picante's in Chantilly, one of our favorite Mexican places. There weren't any good movies that we all wanted to see, so we just came back to the apartment and watched my Pretender DVD.
Saturday was the day to do errands. We went to Virginia Kitchen for breakfast, then dropped into Trader Joe's. After that, we went up to buy clothes, then did the obligatory trip to Wegman's. After that, we went to Dixie Bones in Woodbridge, a place Merle found online. Their brisket was worth the trip. Sunday we just veged. Went back to the Silver Diner for brunch, then hung out at the apartment. I had an afternoon nap. Marah went to Five Guys to get us hamburgers for dinner.
Monday they did my laundry while I was at work, and I think they shopped. We went up to Romano's Macaroni Grill for dinner.
The whole weekend was very quiet and easy, nothing exciting. Just a few easy errands, plenty of rest, good company.
Tuesday morning, Marah drove me to the polling place to vote, then she dropped me at work. They drove back north later in the afternoon.
