the current state of things..
I am sickened by the fact that so many people degraded members of Congress on the day that the health care legislation was passed. One of the members was instrumental in the civil rights movement, and deserved far better than to be spat upon, or called racist epithets.
I am also saddened at the Fulton, MS school board, for refusing to hold a dance. I'm sure you know why, but, it was because a LESBIAN wanted to attend with her girlfriend.
That might cause society to break down, and mob justice to rule the streets!
Fortunitely, (I can never spell that damn word right for some reason) the students and some others held (or will hold, not sure) another prom.
All this makes me wonder if we are sliding into another Dark Age.
Becuase The Holy Lord God, hates the poor!
And He will surely bring His wrath on anyone who dresses in a non-gender role fashion (women like men, men like women), never mind what will happen to those who DARE to love their own gender!
I have to admit, the sight of two men/women kissing kinda makes me nervous. I have grown up in rural areas, not to give myself an excuse. However, the people who dare to proclaim what a god does or does not wish, that seems to me the highest form of arrogance. "Our god is better than your god!"
I would talk to these type of people, ask them "Do you actually talk to this god you speak of?" But the answer I would get would be something of "through prayer or the Bible."
I'm not getting on a high horse here, and saying I'm better.
I have no idea how this all works, and there are times I think about getting religion. But then, I hear these arrogant fools, and would rather risk the fires of Hell (if it in fact exists.)
