not too much to report, but, since my LJ friends post alot more then I do, I was mildly shamed into posting.
I'm going to be working at a vocational center, to acclimate to working in the community, starting in about 10 days.
It's for folks who've not worked for several years, to see what they like best. It's also for developmentally disabled folks.
It's only 2 days a week 8 am-noon, to start out with.
They've got several sections, a wood shop where they make pallets (the things that water softener bags lay on at the home improvement store), a area where they sort donated clothes, and a area where they sort soda pop cans for bagging and redemption. I'll be in that last, since working in a factory/warehouse isn't my thing. If it was that or nothing, of course, I'd take it.
I was watching the MTV Video Music Awards last night. The thing that got my attention is when that pop singer Pink did a bunch of acrobatic stunts maybe 50 feet in the air! She was apparently singing while she did so. Even if it was just her lip synching, doing all that is amazing, and took a LOT of hard work.
In minor news, got a scanner and a printer at a garage sale for $20, only to find out the last plug in, into my computer tower, doesn't work..
Oh well, could have been $40 I paid.
