Aww, you are the best. :) Thank you for the sweet comments. :)

Yeah, the Zola fic is coming along. It's going to be before, during, and after the train scene, from Zola's POV. I have read some fascinating things about cybernetics as a field - and it is so much more than what I thought it was.

What is neat is that this period is really about a transformational moment in Hydra's history - switching from the leadership of meglomaniacal, impatient Schmidt to Zola who is the complete opposite. Zola plays the long (long long) game and really has no need to be known. This is a change from Schmidt who, at some level, is a supremacist - maybe not a Arayan race supremacist as the rest of the Nazi party, but he believes that he (and Steve, perhaps) are superior to the rest of the human race. Zola as no such supremacy thing going. He wants to survive. He believes in the mission as he says it - humans can not be trusted with their own freedom, but I beleive he was only a nazi because it was expedient.

Anyway, it has turned out to be an interesting setting to play in. :) Sorry for rambling at you!

No need to apologize for rambling about Zola! He's my favourite Marvel villain. <3 At first I just liked him more than Schmidt because I liked the actor, but then CA:TWS came along and blew my mind. Rewatching CA:TFA afterwards revealed so many more layers to that film, and just...holy shit. But especially that scene where Zola's being interrogated by Colonel Philips, it's infinitely more sinister after seeing CA:TWS. *u*

Oh ho ho! Now I am extra excited to read this fic!
