Today was pretty freaking incredible. Many of you are going to be extremely jealous, so don't blame me if you keep reading and start crying or something. I slept in pretty late. Mom woke me up with a demand. She told me she needed shipping tape from Walmart ASAP. I don't know why she couldn't get it herself - I don't think she actually did anything today. I told John Cannon I'd go see 300 with him at 1:30, and it was already 12:45, so I had to rush to Walmart. Naturally, when I walk in the store, my Grampi is sitting there and waves me over. I love my Grampi to death, but if you're in a rush and see him then you'll be 30 minutes late - he loves loves loves to talk. He told me about his annoyances with pollen and such and finally I got the tape and rushed back home to drop it off. I sped to the movies where I watched 300 yet again. It was just as good the second time as the first. I highly recommend everyone to see it. After the movie, I rushed to the Strand to pick up the tickets for the Aaron Lewis concert for Nichole's birthday :)
When we were waiting for the concert to begin, a huge amount of water suddenly started gushing from the ceiling inside the Strand. It was pretty much the coolest thing ever. The first 8 or so songs I had never heard before, and because they were slow and acoustic, I was getting really sleepy. Aaron had the best stage presence though and he made some of the funniest jokes. To name a few:
Random dude in crowd: "PLAY FREEBIRD PLAY FREEBIRD!"
Aaron: "Where is that guy?! He's following me to every show every night! He just keeps changing his voice."
Aaron: *plays the beginning to Free Bird*
Random dude in crowd: *is pwnd*
Aaron: *stops playing song right after he begins*
Crowd: *is like wth*
Aaron: "I really can't wait to play this song, but I'm not going to until this chick on the front row stops video taping me"
Chick on front row: *is pwnd by security guards*
Aaron: *starts singing*
Crowd: *happy face*
Anyway, he played some Staind hits, then covered "Black" by Pearl Jam, "Patience" by Guns N' Roses, and "Sober" by Tool. He left and came back and played the big Staind hits and it was beautiful. Bo diggety durpdy weee I love music :)
I was really craving some red sour straws and a mountain dew today. I pulled in a crappy Citgo to get some, then I discovered they had a $5 minimum for card purchases, and since they support the whole Hugo Chavez dictatorship nonsense, I refused like a good patriot :P
In closing, I love Nichole with all my heart and am glad I could spend this wonderful day with her. I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Bleg. Guess I should though. I'd say Spring Break is going rather nicely so far.
Pwnd,
