Happy Birthday Army National Guard
The Army National Guard is now 385 years old (do the math: the U.S. is only 230!) It is a great organization with a proud history of citizen soldiers who have answered the nation's call to duty for centuries, as well as acting to support the states which these men and women call home.
On a side note, thanks to all the fine people who've welcomed me onto LJ (mostly as a result of Liz pimping me out to all her friends): it'll be nice getting to know y'all! After all, a friend of Lizzie's is a friend of mine.
