Ok, I'm kind of on a soup kick right now. Which is mainly to say, I'm on a "consuming" soup kick, and not a "making & consuming" soup kick.
I'd like that to change!
Who's got soup recipes for me? Preferably stuff I can freeze or can the extras of? Non-meat preferred, but not required...

And out of curiosity, do you do any menu planning for the week, or do you just go by the seat of your pants? I'm trying to get more into the former, but I'm finding it difficult at present...

Hoping a moderate goal of two planned dinners a week might help me shop more, and therefore help on the above.

A lot of things go into that, but I'm not sure how much is easily translatable to a house with fewer people with different appetites, except that I try hard to use leftovers in something to keep from having to throw anything out. In fact, a large number of my soup/salad plans are based on looking in the fridge and noting that things need to get used up, so I find a way to combine them into something new and exciting (example: leftover pasta from last night will go into a pasta salad tonight; leftover sauce will go into sunday's chili).

And similar to you, if I have leftovers, I'm more than likely to eat them. The problem then sometimes becomes portion size: I cook a heap of food, could freeze it, but don't because it's there. But that's a separate battle. :)
