I went to see my first opera this week: Puccini's Turandot. I didn't think I would like it; what with all the screaming and such. Actually, it was quite moving. Putting music and drama together makes all the difference. I don't think I will run right out and buy a bunch of opera music to sing along with in the car or anything, but I will probably see another this year.
