Moving on
I'm leaving Reading today. Hurrah! I have to come back next week for Graduation (if they ever tell me my result) but other than that as of 17.54 this evening my involvement with the place is over. Most other people are really sad about going, it doesn't really feel that real to me. Its all a bit strange.
Last night me and Lisa went to see Poseidon. It was Orange Wednesdays so we thought it was worth a try. I didn't hold out many hopes for it, and it didn't really surprise. The first shot it a sweeping vista all around the boat - this was where I started to worry about the effects for the rest of the film, it looked like it had been created on The Sims!! Some of the dead bodies also looked far too much like shop dummies which was a shame as some of them were eerily realistic. The plot wasn't too stretching, and toward the end I did get a sense of 'now what' but it was ok. Glad I only paid £2.20 for it though!!
We discovered a very strange programme on tv late last night (ok late-ish). It was called 'How Do I Look' and we watched it assuming it was going to be the US version of 'What Not To Wear'. Oh no. It was about this young girl (14/15) who was a punk, and her mom wanted her not be. A family friend whose daughter was friends with this girl had stopped them hanging out because she was scared about the bad influence she was having. They had this whole intervention thing and it was just awful. Most of the clothes they picked for her were pretty grim too.
I was in the paper yesterday. The Reading Evening Post did an article about the footy Mobizine. Shame she misheard me on the phone and said I was originally from Leicestershire!!
I wanna go watch rubbish on sky (last day of it) but my housemate's asleep on the settee. I'm a little scared to go and wake her...
