ToA Replay Notes - #04
NEXT BIT. As always SPOILERS FOR FULL GAME. My play times are not even remotely accurate anymore, because not only does taking notes take a while, but I'll typically being RPing or talking to people too.
IN OTHER NEWS. SNAKE HAS FINALLY STARTED PLAYING TALES. YAY.
Sheridan-
-When they find the music box Guy makes a jab at Luke "It's important to take good care of things, right, Luke?" and Luke just gives him a vein mark look >D I BET LUKE BROKE ALL OF HIS TOYS.
-Luke's happiness to help factor tends to depend on the situation. Regarding St. Binah he's not just urgent but REALLY REALLY HAPPY to get to carry that old man out of town and such. But in average, every day things where people want help he's will to do it but a lot more impartial about it. Or more casual, I suppose would be the word.
-The music box is regarded as being particularly amazing. I suppose Auldrant lacks radios completely or any sort of distance commutation that goes beyond a few floors. I imagine they must have instruments but I doubt it's the same.
-Regarding giving the discs to Ishtar:
Guy: "Let's find them for her then, I want to see her glowing smile again."
Ishtar: "///"
Luke: "Don't you feel sorry for the girls you lead on by saying that?"
-Iemon recognizes Natalia on sight.
-Natalia's surprised by the fact that Luke is being kind just to 'do what he can' instead of because of his noble blood.
-I think Jade just. Likes to confuse people. A lot. He argues for the sheer point of keeping them from figuring anything out >D
Meggiora Highlands-
-If you let Ginji die Luke has an emo moment. And Tear yells at him. Then when you get back to down Noelle runs up.
Noelle: "There you are! Aston told me to pick up the hover drive from you."
Luke: ... *hands over the hover drive.
Noelle: *runs off*
Luke: "Who was that?"
Anise: "... I bet you're the type that gets conned easily."
-Kimlascan soldiers show up at Sheridan to get the nuts who sailed over here on a malkuth landship, kinda slow response no?
-Noelle isn't mad at me for killing Ginji. Or even particularly emo!
Albiore II-
-In a classic example of game timing, St. Binah falls at the last seconds and Noelle has to pilot ninja around falling debris.
-Despite part of a continent falling into the Qliphoth, the ensuing tsunami doesn't appear to wipe out anything.
-Tear thinks St. Binah will sink into the mantle. Elder McGovern is really sad about this =\
-It took Hod a month to sink
-Elder McGovern notes that 'this is vengeance for Hod' meaning he probably knew what happened there and was a part of it. Tear and Guy go ? while Jade dots.
-Mysteriously, Luke is the one who comes up with the brilliant plan to use the Sephiroth to save St. Binah. Go Luke.
-Of course, Luke's plan for using the passage rings is "We'll interrogate master van!" and Guy cuts that short by saying that's impossible.
-Luke: "I'm the one who destroyed Akzeriuth! That's why I have to do something now! I know this won't make up for what I've done, but if I could save this one city...!"
Jade: "Luke! Get a hold of yourself. You won't get anything done like that."
Luke: !
Jade: "Let's go to Yulia City. They know more about the Sephiroth than we do. Now that the Score predicting St. Binah's safety has faltered..."
Tear: "Yes, grandfather might be willing to help."
Jade: "And, Luke. You sounded like a child a moment ago. Everyone here wants to save St. Binah."
Luke: "You're right... I'm sorry..."
Guy: "Don't worry about it. We're not mad or anything."
Noelle: "I'll launch the Albiore then."
-It's really just NOT ENOUGH for Luke to save the lives of everyone in St. Binah. He freaks out if he can't save the land too =\
-Jade suspects that the miasma wasn't simply caused by a war.
Yulia City-
-McGovern: "Luke, don't be discouraged."
Luke: "What?"
McGovern: "Jade rarely scolds people. What he said early shows that he's taken a liking to you."
Jade: "Field Marshal! Don't put words in my mouth!"
McGovern: "Old folks don't have time to bother scolding people we don't like. Jade is no different."
Jade: . . .
"Honestly, of all the things to say. I'm going on ahead."
Luke: . . .
Guy: "Hah hah. He pegged him. Guess Jade has a few soft spots after all."
Anise: "Hee hee, yeah. ♥"
Luke: "Tear... um... thanks."
Tear: "What's this all of a sudden?"
Luke: "You've scolded me from the very beginning."
Tear: ///
"Oh... that was just... I mean..."
Luke: . . .
"...heh, it's weird. I always thought of getting scolded as a bad thing."
Tear: "It's not a good thing either."
Luke: "...I know that!"
-Luke mentions he can't really tell if he's changing or not because he hasn't stopped to think about it. Meaning what he's doing is basically instinct for him and one kind of wonders why he was ever such an ass in the first place >D
-Luke isn't too thrilled with the idea of getting along with Asch at this point.
-When Luke tries to spend 40k on the arcane text, Anise protests that 'that's our money too!'. But they don't object when I spend 200k on some random guy's mansion? >D
-Tear is NOT HAPPY with Jade and Guy getting Luke to con money out of his mom ^^;
-Guy takes note of Tear's room being where Van was raised, and is rather concerned about it. He says that Van must have once been very nice and wonders what happened to him. Tear asks if Guy has ever met Van and Guy passes it off as "he came to Luke's all the time!" and when asked if he met him on Hod "well, I don't know..." Meaning Tear didn't know that their family served the house of Gardios. It's interesting that Van would never mention that.
-The big orange light on Yulia City that's encased in a red bubble is actually a giant fonstone.
-The Key of Lorelei is first mentioned when Luke asks Teodoro if there is a way to save St. Binah. Jade knows what it is and says it was used in creating the Planet Storm. "The Key of Lorelei is said to be a fonic weapon created by Yulia using the power of Lorelei."
Courtesy of Tear: "The Sword of Lorelei gathers Seventh Fonons, and the Jewel of Lorelei disperses them. It's said that Key itself is made of Seventh Fonons. Supposedly, Yulia summoned Lorelei into the Key and freely commanded that power..."
-The Key could control the Sephiroth. However, once the Planet Storm was formed, the Key was cast down into the core. It's existence is still mythical.
-Teodoro tells party that the passage ring for the St. Binah area is in Shurrey Hill.
-Ion says he unlocked the passage ring because he thought it would be protected by the Albertesque and Yulian seals.
-Party doesn't know how Van got past the Yulian seals, which should have still been in place.
-All the control panels for the passage ring require use of the Seventh Fonon.
-Jade notes that "Van's planning has been impeccable thus far" and Anise says he sounds sarcastic. Jade says he meant it quite literally which means he didn't really. Probably. But that's fair. Van has Luke still alive and Asch is betraying him. That's hardly impeccable.
-Can't use the Yulia Road due to the Sephiroth being unstable.
Shurrey Hill-
-The entrance to the Sephiroth was hidden by a fonic arte created with the use of three red fonstones.
-The places with the passage rings feel strange due to being 2,000 years old.
-Luke ALWAYS gives Guy crap about his fon machine fetish >D
-Guy hates hearing Asch brought up >D
-Natalia believes ANYTHING. She totally buys into Anise's story about Van's 'powers'.
-The Yulian Seal on the passage rings in Shurrey Hill haven't been broken. "Breaking" it requires doing various puzzles and the Mieu smashing a floating rock.
-Van closed the valve to make it impossible to revive the Sephiroth Tree in Shurrey Hill. He did this with some kind of code? Jade's very vague about it. Basically the Seventh Fonon would be needed to break it. I suppose the 'code' is a physical lock made of Seventh Fonons, since Luke suggests using his Hyperresonance to erase it.
-The 'code' is basically the red part around the diagram of the Sephiroth Tree. MOST RIDICULOUS GUI EVER.
-A-awww. Luke's so happy when they succeed =\ He ninja's a hug and shakes Tear's hand. "Tear, thank yoU!" TEAR LOOKS VERY CONFUSED.
-Natalia: "He doesn't sound like Luke at all."
Guy: "I don't see any problem with that. I like him better this way."
Natalia: "You're on Luke's side."
Guy: "Not really. Just like you're not on Asch's side either, right?"
Natalia: . . .
"I can't choose either of them."
-Turns out this Sephiroth supports the entire Rugnica Plains region. Time to evacuate Engeve!
Albiore-
-Whatever they use for mounts in Auldrant are two legged platypuses and completely fail to strike fear into the hearts of anything.
-Also, battleships do so much damage I have no idea why they bother with ground troops.
-Malkuthians seem to rely on fonic artes for massive destruction where as Kimlascan landships have big as laser guns.
-Party decides that Van's plans are to wipe out a large part of the population by dropping both armies into the Qliphoth.
-Natalia points out that the main attack force for Kimlasca would be at Kaitzur. Meanwhile Tear notes that Engeve is defenseless and might be targeted as supply point.
-If Luke goes to Engeve it's because he might be able to help the people there. If he goes to Kaitzur it's because, as an heir to the throne, he might be able to put a stop to things.
Kaitzur-
-General Cecille lacks the authority to pull back the troops. However, Lieutenant General (also, Count) Almandine is on his way to Chesedonia to meet with Mohs.
-Hm. Interesting. Kimlasca needs recognition from the Order of Lorelei that the attack on Malkuth is justified revenge. Daath has a LOT of power, but I suppose it would be problematic if they stopped reading the Score.
-Cecille has brown eyes.
-Guy notes that technically, only the Fon Master can sanction aggression.
-"The standard sea route between Kaitzur and Chesedonia is east, across the Albert Sea." It would require docking in a Malkuth port, thus party gets to walk.
-Cecille wants to bundle the royal party up and send them to the Kaitzur Port where they're away from the front lines. Lol.
-Ahaha. Guy. So put upon! Luke wants to go Chesedonia by land. Guy wants to know if he's crazy. Natalia likes this idea! Luke says he has to protect Natalia. "*Sigh* I'm just your lowly servant, so I guess I'll have to go along with it."
Luke: "Guy! I didn't mean for you to..."
Guy: "I’m just kidding, you idiot."
Battlefield-
-Frings shows up wanting Natalia and crew to turn back because they might have to attack them.
-Then Cecille arrives and assigns a platoon to watch their asses!
-And then Cecille and Frings arrive and want to fight |D Frings wants the escort to go away, Cecille wants to make it bigger. The issue being they're entering Malkuth controlled territory and if there are Kimlascan troops with Natalia they'll have to attack. Frings offers to kill himself if anything happens to them. awww. Cecille says his life isn't worth Natalia's >D Oooo.
-I don't remember them mentioning Roltelro bridge being repaired, but it happend at some point.
-When Grand Chokmah becomes a fortress it won't even let it's own citizens in. The people from Engeve need to take refuge in Chesedonia.
-A townsman comes to ask Jade about his son, Marco, who worked as Jade's aide on the Tartarus. With Ion there, the man turns around and walks away, wishing his son hadn't died. I think if Ion isn't there he curses out Jade?
-The wife of the boy and father who died in Akzeriuth is Miriam, she hurts her foot on the walk out of Engeve.
Chesedonia-
-In Chesedonia Count Almandine and Grand Maestro Mohs are setting up a block.
-Almandine is WAY more surprised that Luke is alive than Natalia. GUESS WHO KNEW ABOUT THE CLOSED SCORE. Ingobert also believed the letter that Natalia was alive was a MALKUTH SCEME fuck you Ingobert.
-Mohs is a PRICK. "There is no need to obey the orders of a false princess."
Natalia: "How dare you! Even a Grand Maestro cannot speak of me in such a manner! To insult me is to insult the Kingdom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear!"
Mohs: "For some time, I have received the sorrowful confessions of a certain pious believer. It appears the daughter that he fathered with an attendant to the Queen was substituted for Her Highness the Princess."
Luke: "That's a lie!"
Mohs: "No, it's not. Look at her eyes. Her hair. From time immemorial, the royal family of Lanvaldear has had red hair and green eyes. But this woman's hair is gold. And the late Queen had hair as black as night. I've informed his Majesty about this matter as well. If you go to Baticul, His Majesty will punish you for conspiring against the Kingdom!"
Natalia: "That's impossible... That can't be true..."
-When told the battlefield is going to collapse, Mohs response is "What's your point?" The disgusting thing is he says this in front of plenty of guards. He asks "Why are those people in Yulia City worrying about a little collapsing land?"
-Ion chooses to return to Daath with Mohs.
Ion: "Cantor Anise Tatlin, I hereby relieve you of your position as Fon Master Guardian."
Anise: "W-w-wait a minute! Ion! Don't do this!"
Ion: "Stay with Luke at all times, protect him, and report everything you hear to me."
-Natalia more or less immediately tries to stop calling her Father 'Father'. She believes what Mohs says. Guy and Luke agree to keep an eye on her =\
-Worst blockade EVER.
-When Natalia wants to pay the Dark Wings because she feels bad that a war was started by the royalty:
Tear: "That's not like you, Natalia. War or no, the decision to commit a crime comes from one's own lack of morals."
-Overheard some guards saying that there is trouble with the Zao Ruins.
Astor's Mansion, Chesedonia-
-Talking to Astor reveals that earthquakes have split the Zao Desert and Ispanian Peninsula and Chesedonia is beginning to sink.
-The Kimlascan Army reached Engeve at 11:32. THERE GOES MY THEORY THAT HOURS ARE HALF AS LONG ON AULDRANT. The only possibility left is that their minutes are only 30 seconds long =\ But I'm guessing they just AGE FUNNY over there.
-Jade gets the idea to use the power of the Sephiroth flow to lower the land slowly.
-Astor gets the low down on the Qliphoth and Sephiroth and falling land et al.
-Astor is pretty mellow about trusting the future of his city to a random group of people |D O RPG GAMES.
-Natalia starts zoning out.
Chesedonia-
-Asch contacts Luke as they are about to leave the city.
-God Asch is SUCH A NAG. Luke can barely talk when Asch is talking in his head. Anyway, GO TO THE OASIS LUKE.
-Natalia is the only person eager to trust Asch |D
Desert Oasis-
Asch: "It's about time you go here."
Luke: "What do you want?"
Asch: "Has anything strange happened? Like your mind being mixed with someone else's?"
Luke: "Huh? What are you talking about? Nothing weird happens other than when you connect with me."
Asch: "...I see."
Natalia: "Asch, has something happened? Are you ill?"
Asch: "...No."
Guy: "Is that all you had to say?" (Boy he sounds pissed)
Asch: "...Engeve has begun to fall. The battlefield will likely fall soon after."
Tear: "No!"
Natalia: "At this rate, everyone on the battlefield will die!"
Asch: "Damn it! You will too if you stay here, you idiot!"
Natalia: "I'm well aware of that. But we intend to use the Sephiroth stream to safely lower Chesedonia."
Asch: "...Can you do that?"
Jade: "Who knows?"
Asch: "...I can never tell what's going on in that head of yours. If what Natalia just said, then can't you lower the battlefield as well?"
Tear: "We may not make it to Shurry Hill in time..."
Asch: "You will. The Sephiroth are connected inside the planet. Naturally, the passage rings are connected as well. Once the rings are activated you can remotely control one ring from another."
Jade: "So if we active the Zao Ruins passage ring, we'll be able to control the Shurrey Hill ring as well?"
Asch: "...That's what Van said."
Asch beelines to leave, forcing Luke to move out of his way.
Natalia: "Asch! Where are you going?"
Asch: "To find out what Van's up to. We need to know what area he plans to drop next. ...Well, if you fail, I'll just die here along with everyone else."
Natalia: "I promise we'll lower it safely! I'll swear to it!"
Asch: "What, you want to pinky swear? Don't be absurd." (HE'S SMILING WHILE HE SAYS THIS omg)
Natalia: "Asch...!"
Asch: "There are no guarantees in this world. That's why, before, I...
...I'm going now. You all should too."
-Randomly, Jade is REALLY PALE. Anise has the darkest skin, Natalia and Luke are about average, Jade looks white next to them.
Zao Ruins-
-Hilariously, Luke has the most frank outlook on Asch. Guy keeps suspecting him, Natalia wants to trust him completely. Luke is all "Look we just need to focus on lowering the outer lands, and we can trust Asch's information because he's not someone who would want to destroy them."
-The dino boss in Zao Ruins is strange even by monster standards. Tear believes it's frm the Dawn Age, as she's seen it in a book in Yulia City.
-Luke is like a Sephiroth hacker. Only instead of using wit and cunning he pretty literally hacks them apart.
-Luke doesn't know Ancient Ispanian ARE WE SURPRISED? However, the grammar between Ancient Ispanian and 'the fonic language we use now' are similar.
-Instructions carved into the Sephiroth's controls: "Tree ascent. Triple speed. Hold."
-Hyperresonancing is tiring =\
-Luke doesn't hesitate at ALL to pull Tear into his lap when she faints. It's pretty damn cute. He sounds very genuinely worried too. Meanwhile, Guy actually moves away from her and feels bad =\
-Jade: "When you think you're witnessing a problem, it's best to look for the cause." Actually, I'm not so sure that Guy was upset he couldn't catch her, I think it's that the sight of her fainting made him frightened and he didn't understand why.
Chesedonia-
-Noelle transported everyone to Engeve safely before the land began to descend.
-Something is bothering Jade, but he'd rather not talk about it until he's certain. O Jade.
-Luke mentioned that he thinks he stopped getting the hallucinations (contact from Lorelei) due to getting used to being connected to Asch. I wonder if this means he can actively feel it?
-Tear's pretty cute, she can't tell Luke wants to get her pendant back. I think because she does things without regrets? She didn't want to sell it, but she did so in order to take responsibility for getting Luke home without hesitation, and I suppose didn't expect there to ever be a way to recover that.
Albiore-
-Jade mentions that the controls of the tree in Zao Ruins said the Sephiroth were going out of control. Apparently a Sephiroth in the area is flickering and Jade says something is causing them to go out of control, and that the frequent earthquakes weren't just from the land collapsing.
-A Sephiroth is also what's keeping Yulia City floating. I think I noted this earlier.
-Team decides that they don't know what to do about the Sephiroth going out of control and should address the Score, which means talking to Ion as he has the highest level access.
Engeve-
-Cecille beats down a Malkuth Soldier who was beating down a Kimlascan Soldier. "Have you forgotten the Daath Convention? What kind of trash are you to treat prisoners of war like that?" So Daath organizes the rules of war too.
-Frings punishes his own man for damaging Malkuth forces dignity.
-Frings and Cecille are so cute =\
-Frings saved Cecille when Cecille went to save a soldier (Hamilton) who nearly fell into the cracks of the earth created when the ground moved.
-Cecille sends word to Almandine that she is alive and conveys her apologies. Has nothing to say to Ingobert for some reason?
-Frings is the acting commander on the battlefield since ...the other guy was cut off by the land falling. He wants party to take a message to Almandine in Kaitzur that he proposes a tempory truce and would like to perform a prisoner exchange.
-Haha, Jade disagrees with Cecille being given up as a prisoner >D He says Frings is being soft.
Anise: "Aw, come on, Jade. It means they can't afford the resources to take care of an enemy general."
Frings: "Thank you, you're a very intelligent young lady. Thank you for all of your help."
Frings leaves.
Anise: "*Swoooooooon* Did you hear that? Say, is General Frings rich?"
Jade: "Hm. Yes, I believe he's rather well off. Though it seems you're a bit late."
Kaitzur-
-The boarder isn't even being guarded anymore.
-Almandine is more than happy to accept the truce. No signs of feeling like a JACKASS for abandoning Natalia.
Engeve-
-Cecille gets to save Frings from random monster attack!! Thus paying back her life debt.
-Cecille and Frings proceed to argue at each other about not putting oneself in danger in order to do the noble thing. It's cute.
-Guy totally ships this =\
-....Natalia is oblivious.
-..............Tear didn't notice either >D Wow. EVEN LUKE CAUGHT ON.
Kaitzur-
-Prisoner exchange!
-Cecille wants party to visit her at Kaitzur Port.
-Frings gazes longingly out over... a tiny canal. "Jozette..."
Kaitzur Port-
-Cecille CONTINUES TO USE US AS HER DELIVERY BOYS and wants us to give a dagger to Frings from her.
-Natalia is surprised but Guy says it isn't their place to criticize. Hm.
-When a woman gives a man a dagger it symbolizes cutting off all relations with him.
Engeve-
-Luke delivers the dagger, Frings sends a letter with Luke to Cecille. Then leaves for Chesedonia.
Kaitzur Port-
-The letter asks Cecille to visit Astor's mansion and she decides to go to refuse him in person.
-Luke is confused but willing =\
-Luke: "This is starting to get bothersome."
Natalia: "But they're both serious. We have to help them."
Tear: "Help which one? And how?"
Anise: "Yeah, seriously."
Natalia: "Um, well... I suppose you're right..."
Jade: "Oh, well. Let's just play along and try not to get too involved. It's something only the two of them can decide anyway."
Everyone makes annoyed squiggles at Jade.
Guy: "You always sound unconcerned about everything..."
Astor's Mansion, Chesedonia-
-Astor talks about moving the citizens of Engeve back to their home so they can keep producing food and fix some issues with food supply.
-Talk of being able to restore St. Binah as well.
-Ahaha
Guy: "You two have something to talk about, don't you? We'll leave."
Anise: "Whaaaaaat?"
Guy: "No 'whaaat.' Let's go."
Anise stays and stares for a bit before leaving with the rest.
Frings: "Thank you for coming."
Cecille: "I... I can’t do what you ask. My family owes a debt to Kimlasca. With the responsibility for the Cecille family name on my shoulders, I cannot--"
Frings: "I've heard the rumors."
Cecille: "Then you should understand!"
Frings: "Regardless of whether they are true or not, it has no bearing on your virtues. I believe you are the bride to be described in my Score."*
Cecille: "But Duke Fabre and I..."**
-*Frings says he believes Cecille is the bride 'to be' described in his Score. As I recall, Frings hates the score. Is this a way of saying "You are my destiny"? and not so much "the score says I'll marry you"?
-**DUKE FABRE AND YOU WHAT?
-Luke and Anise are crouching outside the door doing the conversation.
Guy: "That's enough, you two."
Tear: "I can't believe you're eavesdropping. That's horrible."
Natalia: "You should be ashamed of yourselves!"
Luke: "But I'm worried about them..."
Anise: "I'm just nosy! ♥"
Jade: "I understand how you feel."
Guy: "Hey! You're supposed to scold them."
-Continuing inside.
Frings: "I'll wait as long as it takes for your feelings to change."
Anise: "So, how'd things go?"
Cecille: "...He gave me a ring. he said it was a memento of his mother."
Natalia: "My! He proposed to you!"
Guy: "What are you hesitating for?"
Luke: "Yeah! ...I think you should accept it. It just feels right..."
Cecille: "...No. I cannot."
Tear: "Why?"
Cecille: "He is an enemy soldier. And also, I have a duty to restore the House of Cecille. Please return this to General Frings."
[Obtained Memento Ring]
Luke: "What?! But..."
Cecille: "...Please excuse me. I must be going. Thank you."
Luke: "...I'm an heir to the throne, you know."
Natalia: "...It is the duty of royalty to serve the citizens."
Luke: "...*sigh* I wonder if Frings will take this back. This is getting annoying."
Anise: "This is getting exciting!"
Everyone but Jade makes annoyed squiggles at Anise.
Kaitzur-
-Frings anticipates Cecille trying to return the ring but cannot accept it as he will always be waiting for her. Take the ring back.
-Luke is surprisingly gentle in pointing out that he's not their goddamn messenger boy.
-Jade MOCKS EVERYONE for getting involved in the romance and now being obligated to go back and forth all the freaking time.
Kaitzur Port-
-Cecille: "Perhaps not all of you are aware, but the House of Cecille was stripped of its nobility. I entered the military to restore my family name."
Natalia: "Oh, yes, I've heard of that. but even Father wouldn't tell me the details..."
Guy: "The House of Cecille was banished from royal society as traitors to Kimlasca."
Cecille: "Yes. My aunt, Eugenie, married a Malkuthian Count. Later, when war broke out, my aunt was stigmatized as a traitor to Kimlasca... So, while I appreciate General Frings' feelings, I cannot marry into Malkuth."
Tataroo Valley-
-Tear assumes that the blue fonons Mieu absorbs for Mieu Wing are the third fonon due to location? Is it because of the type of Sephiroth they are near?
-Luke thinks the flying is pretty cool. Tear... thinks it's cute >D
-Jade on everyone hanging off mieu to fly. "Oh, it's not so bad. With any luck he might come away from this an inch or two taller."
Grand Chokmah-
-Luke goes to buy Tear's Pendant back from Raiz, the merchant it was sold to. He knows it has a "three carat or so star sapphire". I don't even know what carats are, why does Luke?
-Luke originally wants to get the 100k from his Father, and Tear stops him >D Luke says "well, I'm not his real son..." and Tear: "That's not what I mean. Regardless of whether it was you or Asch, the assets of the House of Fabre belong to the Duke, not to the two of you." Love Tear =\

Cathedral, Daath-
-The incantation to operate the glyph to the upper area of the cathedral is "The spirit of Yulia is with the Fon Master."
-Luke is pretty surprised to see the teleport glyph, Tear says it's "the same principle of the Yulia Road" but I don't know how the hell that works. As I understand it the Sephiroth push things up, not TELEPORT THEM. O game logic.
-Can't find Ion in his study, run away when they hear voices! ....They conveniently move the camera away from the door so we don't have to see how Dist gets his giant ass chair in there >D Lovegame.
-Dist and Mohs discuss! Dist will help Mohs restart the war in exchange for Professor Nebilim's replica data. By which we mean Mohs will take it from Van. Dist's plans is to have Ion make an official proclamation ending the truce. Wtf.
-Jade isn't convinced that Van's goal is simply to exterminate humanity, despite what Tear says. Mohs goals are obvious: follow the score.
-Ion's never heard of the Sephiroth going out of control being written in the Score. But then he's never 'confirmed the existence of the closed score' himself. Anise is pretty surprised about this. HINT NUMBER SOMETHING that Ion is only two years old.
-"If I'd known the closed score I believe I would have recognized Luke the first moment we met. ...I might even have been able to prevent what happened to Akzeriuth." This makes Luke dot =\ "...I returned to Daath to come to a full understanding of the Closed Score."
-Ion drags party to the back of the chapel where there is a fonstone enshrined to check the score. Anise scolds him cause it's bad for his health.
-The 'desk' or pulpit that is at the head of the chapel is actually a fonstone which was formed by combining the first through sixth fonstones. Fon Masters can then read the entire score (minus Yulia's I imagine). Ion says since the volume is immense he'll just go over the collapses regarding these past few years. Badly worded but basically he can filter what he reads. Fonstones glow when you read them.
-"ND2000. In Kimlasca shall be born the scion of Lorelei's power. He will be of royal blood with hair of red. He shall be called 'the light of the sacred flame,' and he will lead Kimlasca-Lanvaldear to new prosperity.
ND2002. The one who would seize glory shall destroy the island of his birth, a land named Hod. War shall persist between Kimlasca and Malkuth for a full cycle of the seasons.

-This is all the sixth fonstone says about the collapse. Interesting, do the use of the fonstones progress in order? Since they are using the Sixth and need the Seventh to find out what lies beyond that?
-Also, "The one who shall seize glory will destroy the island of his birth." Luke should be the only one who DOESN'T understand that, but there is no comment on it. Jade knows the truth already. Do Tear or Guy?
-Tear points that Luke can't be the Scion of Lorelei's Power because he was only born seven years ago, and it must mean Asch. But since Asch didn't die at Akzeriuth, and Luke was the one who destroyed Akzeriuth, the score is messed up. Basically, Luke isn't in the Score. Luke's worried his birth threw the score off track >D
-Oracle Knights attack and Party decides to run without Ion.
Daath-
-Interesting Mirror: Natalia is really emo about the possibility that her father will reject her, yet Luke is facing the exact same situation and hasn't commented on it once.

-Mohs is aware that the score hasn't been followed exactly, but still intends to see Luke die and the war start so that the score will get back on track.

-Soldiers come up from all directions.

Towns folk run up to block the soldiers off.

-When they find the music box Guy makes a jab at Luke "It's important to take good care of things, right, Luke?" and Luke just gives him a vein mark look >D I BET LUKE BROKE ALL OF HIS TOYS.
-Luke's happiness to help factor tends to depend on the situation. Regarding St. Binah he's not just urgent but REALLY REALLY HAPPY to get to carry that old man out of town and such. But in average, every day things where people want help he's will to do it but a lot more impartial about it. Or more casual, I suppose would be the word.
-The music box is regarded as being particularly amazing. I suppose Auldrant lacks radios completely or any sort of distance commutation that goes beyond a few floors. I imagine they must have instruments but I doubt it's the same.
-Regarding giving the discs to Ishtar:
Guy: "Let's find them for her then, I want to see her glowing smile again."
Ishtar: "///"
Luke: "Don't you feel sorry for the girls you lead on by saying that?"

-In a classic example of game timing, St. Binah falls at the last seconds and Noelle has to pilot ninja around falling debris.
-Despite part of a continent falling into the Qliphoth, the ensuing tsunami doesn't appear to wipe out anything.
-Tear thinks St. Binah will sink into the mantle. Elder McGovern is really sad about this =\
-It took Hod a month to sink
-Elder McGovern notes that 'this is vengeance for Hod' meaning he probably knew what happened there and was a part of it. Tear and Guy go ? while Jade dots.
-Mysteriously, Luke is the one who comes up with the brilliant plan to use the Sephiroth to save St. Binah. Go Luke.
-Of course, Luke's plan for using the passage rings is "We'll interrogate master van!" and Guy cuts that short by saying that's impossible.
-Luke: "I'm the one who destroyed Akzeriuth! That's why I have to do something now! I know this won't make up for what I've done, but if I could save this one city...!"
Jade: "Luke! Get a hold of yourself. You won't get anything done like that."

Jade: "Let's go to Yulia City. They know more about the Sephiroth than we do. Now that the Score predicting St. Binah's safety has faltered..."

-Luke mentions he can't really tell if he's changing or not because he hasn't stopped to think about it. Meaning what he's doing is basically instinct for him and one kind of wonders why he was ever such an ass in the first place >D
-Luke isn't too thrilled with the idea of getting along with Asch at this point.
-When Luke tries to spend 40k on the arcane text, Anise protests that 'that's our money too!'. But they don't object when I spend 200k on some random guy's mansion? >D
-Tear is NOT HAPPY with Jade and Guy getting Luke to con money out of his mom ^^;
-Guy takes note of Tear's room being where Van was raised, and is rather concerned about it. He says that Van must have once been very nice and wonders what happened to him. Tear asks if Guy has ever met Van and Guy passes it off as "he came to Luke's all the time!" and when asked if he met him on Hod "well, I don't know..." Meaning Tear didn't know that their family served the house of Gardios. It's interesting that Van would never mention that.
-The big orange light on Yulia City that's encased in a red bubble is actually a giant fonstone.
-The Key of Lorelei is first mentioned when Luke asks Teodoro if there is a way to save St. Binah. Jade knows what it is and says it was used in creating the Planet Storm. "The Key of Lorelei is said to be a fonic weapon created by Yulia using the power of Lorelei."
Courtesy of Tear: "The Sword of Lorelei gathers Seventh Fonons, and the Jewel of Lorelei disperses them. It's said that Key itself is made of Seventh Fonons. Supposedly, Yulia summoned Lorelei into the Key and freely commanded that power..."
-The Key could control the Sephiroth. However, once the Planet Storm was formed, the Key was cast down into the core. It's existence is still mythical.
-Teodoro tells party that the passage ring for the St. Binah area is in Shurrey Hill.
-Ion says he unlocked the passage ring because he thought it would be protected by the Albertesque and Yulian seals.
-Party doesn't know how Van got past the Yulian seals, which should have still been in place.
-All the control panels for the passage ring require use of the Seventh Fonon.
-Jade notes that "Van's planning has been impeccable thus far" and Anise says he sounds sarcastic. Jade says he meant it quite literally which means he didn't really. Probably. But that's fair. Van has Luke still alive and Asch is betraying him. That's hardly impeccable.
-Can't use the Yulia Road due to the Sephiroth being unstable.
Shurrey Hill-
-The entrance to the Sephiroth was hidden by a fonic arte created with the use of three red fonstones.
-The places with the passage rings feel strange due to being 2,000 years old.
-Luke ALWAYS gives Guy crap about his fon machine fetish >D
-Guy hates hearing Asch brought up >D
-Natalia believes ANYTHING. She totally buys into Anise's story about Van's 'powers'.
-The Yulian Seal on the passage rings in Shurrey Hill haven't been broken. "Breaking" it requires doing various puzzles and the Mieu smashing a floating rock.
-Van closed the valve to make it impossible to revive the Sephiroth Tree in Shurrey Hill. He did this with some kind of code? Jade's very vague about it. Basically the Seventh Fonon would be needed to break it. I suppose the 'code' is a physical lock made of Seventh Fonons, since Luke suggests using his Hyperresonance to erase it.
-The 'code' is basically the red part around the diagram of the Sephiroth Tree. MOST RIDICULOUS GUI EVER.
-A-awww. Luke's so happy when they succeed =\ He ninja's a hug and shakes Tear's hand. "Tear, thank yoU!" TEAR LOOKS VERY CONFUSED.
-Natalia: "He doesn't sound like Luke at all."
Guy: "I don't see any problem with that. I like him better this way."
Natalia: "You're on Luke's side."
Guy: "Not really. Just like you're not on Asch's side either, right?"

-Turns out this Sephiroth supports the entire Rugnica Plains region. Time to evacuate Engeve!
Albiore-
-Whatever they use for mounts in Auldrant are two legged platypuses and completely fail to strike fear into the hearts of anything.
-Also, battleships do so much damage I have no idea why they bother with ground troops.
-Malkuthians seem to rely on fonic artes for massive destruction where as Kimlascan landships have big as laser guns.
-Party decides that Van's plans are to wipe out a large part of the population by dropping both armies into the Qliphoth.
-Natalia points out that the main attack force for Kimlasca would be at Kaitzur. Meanwhile Tear notes that Engeve is defenseless and might be targeted as supply point.
-If Luke goes to Engeve it's because he might be able to help the people there. If he goes to Kaitzur it's because, as an heir to the throne, he might be able to put a stop to things.
Kaitzur-
-General Cecille lacks the authority to pull back the troops. However, Lieutenant General (also, Count) Almandine is on his way to Chesedonia to meet with Mohs.
-Hm. Interesting. Kimlasca needs recognition from the Order of Lorelei that the attack on Malkuth is justified revenge. Daath has a LOT of power, but I suppose it would be problematic if they stopped reading the Score.
-Cecille has brown eyes.
-Guy notes that technically, only the Fon Master can sanction aggression.
-"The standard sea route between Kaitzur and Chesedonia is east, across the Albert Sea." It would require docking in a Malkuth port, thus party gets to walk.
-Cecille wants to bundle the royal party up and send them to the Kaitzur Port where they're away from the front lines. Lol.
-Ahaha. Guy. So put upon! Luke wants to go Chesedonia by land. Guy wants to know if he's crazy. Natalia likes this idea! Luke says he has to protect Natalia. "*Sigh* I'm just your lowly servant, so I guess I'll have to go along with it."

-Frings shows up wanting Natalia and crew to turn back because they might have to attack them.
-Then Cecille arrives and assigns a platoon to watch their asses!

The issue being they're entering Malkuth controlled territory and if there are Kimlascan troops with Natalia they'll have to attack. Frings offers to kill himself if anything happens to them. awww. Cecille says his life isn't worth Natalia's >D Oooo.
-I don't remember them mentioning Roltelro bridge being repaired, but it happend at some point.
-When Grand Chokmah becomes a fortress it won't even let it's own citizens in. The people from Engeve need to take refuge in Chesedonia.

-Almandine is WAY more surprised that Luke is alive than Natalia. GUESS WHO KNEW ABOUT THE CLOSED SCORE. Ingobert also believed the letter that Natalia was alive was a MALKUTH SCEME fuck you Ingobert.

-Talking to Astor reveals that earthquakes have split the Zao Desert and Ispanian Peninsula and Chesedonia is beginning to sink.
-The Kimlascan Army reached Engeve at 11:32. THERE GOES MY THEORY THAT HOURS ARE HALF AS LONG ON AULDRANT. The only possibility left is that their minutes are only 30 seconds long =\ But I'm guessing they just AGE FUNNY over there.
-Jade gets the idea to use the power of the Sephiroth flow to lower the land slowly.

-Hilariously, Luke has the most frank outlook on Asch. Guy keeps suspecting him, Natalia wants to trust him completely. Luke is all "Look we just need to focus on lowering the outer lands, and we can trust Asch's information because he's not someone who would want to destroy them."
-The dino boss in Zao Ruins is strange even by monster standards. Tear believes it's frm the Dawn Age, as she's seen it in a book in Yulia City.
-Luke is like a Sephiroth hacker. Only instead of using wit and cunning he pretty literally hacks them apart.
-Luke doesn't know Ancient Ispanian ARE WE SURPRISED? However, the grammar between Ancient Ispanian and 'the fonic language we use now' are similar.
-Instructions carved into the Sephiroth's controls: "Tree ascent. Triple speed. Hold."
-Hyperresonancing is tiring =\
-Luke doesn't hesitate at ALL to pull Tear into his lap when she faints. It's pretty damn cute. He sounds very genuinely worried too. Meanwhile, Guy actually moves away from her and feels bad =\
-Jade: "When you think you're witnessing a problem, it's best to look for the cause." Actually, I'm not so sure that Guy was upset he couldn't catch her, I think it's that the sight of her fainting made him frightened and he didn't understand why.
Chesedonia-
-Noelle transported everyone to Engeve safely before the land began to descend.
-Something is bothering Jade, but he'd rather not talk about it until he's certain. O Jade.
-Luke mentioned that he thinks he stopped getting the hallucinations (contact from Lorelei) due to getting used to being connected to Asch. I wonder if this means he can actively feel it?
-Tear's pretty cute, she can't tell Luke wants to get her pendant back. I think because she does things without regrets? She didn't want to sell it, but she did so in order to take responsibility for getting Luke home without hesitation, and I suppose didn't expect there to ever be a way to recover that.
Albiore-
-Jade mentions that the controls of the tree in Zao Ruins said the Sephiroth were going out of control. Apparently a Sephiroth in the area is flickering and Jade says something is causing them to go out of control, and that the frequent earthquakes weren't just from the land collapsing.
-A Sephiroth is also what's keeping Yulia City floating. I think I noted this earlier.
-Team decides that they don't know what to do about the Sephiroth going out of control and should address the Score, which means talking to Ion as he has the highest level access.
Engeve-
-Cecille beats down a Malkuth Soldier who was beating down a Kimlascan Soldier. "Have you forgotten the Daath Convention? What kind of trash are you to treat prisoners of war like that?" So Daath organizes the rules of war too.
-Frings punishes his own man for damaging Malkuth forces dignity.
-Frings and Cecille are so cute =\
-Frings saved Cecille when Cecille went to save a soldier (Hamilton) who nearly fell into the cracks of the earth created when the ground moved.
-Cecille sends word to Almandine that she is alive and conveys her apologies. Has nothing to say to Ingobert for some reason?
-Frings is the acting commander on the battlefield since ...the other guy was cut off by the land falling. He wants party to take a message to Almandine in Kaitzur that he proposes a tempory truce and would like to perform a prisoner exchange.
-Haha, Jade disagrees with Cecille being given up as a prisoner >D He says Frings is being soft.

-Can't find Ion in his study, run away when they hear voices! ....They conveniently move the camera away from the door so we don't have to see how Dist gets his giant ass chair in there >D Lovegame.
-Dist and Mohs discuss! Dist will help Mohs restart the war in exchange for Professor Nebilim's replica data. By which we mean Mohs will take it from Van. Dist's plans is to have Ion make an official proclamation ending the truce. Wtf.
-Jade isn't convinced that Van's goal is simply to exterminate humanity, despite what Tear says. Mohs goals are obvious: follow the score.
-Ion's never heard of the Sephiroth going out of control being written in the Score. But then he's never 'confirmed the existence of the closed score' himself. Anise is pretty surprised about this. HINT NUMBER SOMETHING that Ion is only two years old.
-"If I'd known the closed score I believe I would have recognized Luke the first moment we met. ...I might even have been able to prevent what happened to Akzeriuth." This makes Luke dot =\ "...I returned to Daath to come to a full understanding of the Closed Score."
-Ion drags party to the back of the chapel where there is a fonstone enshrined to check the score. Anise scolds him cause it's bad for his health.
-The 'desk' or pulpit that is at the head of the chapel is actually a fonstone which was formed by combining the first through sixth fonstones. Fon Masters can then read the entire score (minus Yulia's I imagine). Ion says since the volume is immense he'll just go over the collapses regarding these past few years. Badly worded but basically he can filter what he reads. Fonstones glow when you read them.

-It seems to be the White Knights vs the basic Kimlascan guards. I'm guessing the White Knights serve the Royal Line directly? Interesting that they turned against Ingobert in Natalia's favor then. I wonder if they were punished? Or could they say they didn't know the situation, just that Luke told them to clear the way?
-Soldiers come up from all directions.

Towns folk run up to block the soldiers off.
