I should change my default icon, really.
It's erev Kindergarten. Honestly, it's hard for me to say that because the first day is only a 1 hour assembly, which doesn't seem very kindergarten-y. Eh, it's still the first day. Rick and I will drop him off at 8:40 for an 8:45 assembly, and then I'll pick him up at 9:45. Will I go get a coffee in that hour? No, I will run over to South Arm Community Centre to see if I can find a thing I think he lost way back two weeks ago but completely didn't think about until two days ago. (Okay, then I might go to Starbucks because I'm a sucker who's hooked on cardamom lattes.)
I keep having different ideas on what we might do from 9:45 until I take him to after-school care at 3. One thing we will certainly do is go to Rick's work, because he says they have all sizes of backpacks, and of the 4 backpacks I have at home, 1 is too small and 3 are too big for Benito. *sigh* He needs a size that doesn't hang past his (cute little) tushie but can still hold more than just his lunchbag. Then: food shopping? Pool? Granville Island (which I would REALLY ENJOY) for fun shopping, playground, possibly water area?
I realized today that I had the schedule wrong in my head for week 2. I put vacation for the morning so I could drop him at school at lunchtime and then go to work. Of course, he's actually at school from 8:45-11:15. I am honestly back-to-back booked Monday Sept. 9th from 1-4 solid.
Hmm, I seem to be tired. Go figure. Wish me all sorts of strength for this week. I also need to learn High Holiday chants.
