I miss my mommy.

I miss my mommy. And my sister. I even wouldn't mind seeing Dad. And the kitties! I can't remember when I was home last. Mom and Dad came down around April to do my taxes, which was the first time they'd been down in a while. Steph (my sister) hasn't been down in over a year! I really wish I could take some time off from work to visit, but I'm getting so few hours as it is that I just can't afford to. I'm especially sad because I won't get to see them for my birthday. I guess I'm just a little home-sick. I love talking to my mom on the phone... it's recently become different than it used to be. Like we're more equals now. Even though they still give me money and help pay my bills. But we talk like friends. It's pretty awesome. I had a sort of revelation a few weeks ago, realizing that she's not going to be around forever. I mean, she's only going to be 48 this November, but still, I never really, really thought about it. That barring an early departure of my own, she'll die before I do. Man, that sucks. It just made me want to go spend some time with her.
