Spartans!!! Watch my back!!
I just watched 300 with duare and Rut... and it's so good! And so gay!
To tell the truth I didn't have lot of expectations for this movie, since I don't know a lot of tthe real history nor have I read the comic. It didn't dissapoint me at all.
Everything is carefully done, the photography, the fights, the pace... there was not a single moment I felt bored or tired of seeing fights in a movie that is basically two hours of violent fighting. The voice of the one telling the story (Faramir?) didn't annoyme me at all, and I usually am annoyed by those kind of voices in off. the scene between Lonidas and the Persian King (I can't remember the name) had the three of us convulsing with laugher, funnily it was Rut the one who almost chocked to death with the gay. When the non fandom non slasher girl in the group is the first one to see the gay you know they are overdoing it.
One of the best things, and of the ones that caught my attention first was the color. The colors in this movie are gorgeous, really bright and almost alive.
AND THE MEN.
That's all we need to say. The movie is one you need to watch if only to see scantly clad men with perfectly defined abs and chests fightling like they were having sex and talking about covering each other's backs. We squeed sso much I don't know why they didn't kick us off the cinema.
In the end, Rut was shouting that she wants an application form for the Spartan army... and if they let us, I join!
