Spain, that beautiful contry of sun, beach and repression
Beacuse the image the world has of us can't be further from the truth, at least lately.
Spain has been, like most of the world, inmersed in a crisis for the past few years. But things are not improving here, they're getting worse. Corruption, unemployment, and many other issues have forced the Spanish people to protest. Since the 15M we've been camping in Spain's main squares, Puerta del Sol in Madrid and Plaza Catalunya in Barcelona. It's been pretty peaceful... up till now.
This morning, Catalonian main police force, Los Mosos d'Essquadra, charged against the people peacefully camping in Plaza de Catalunya, to try to move them from the square. They violently charged against a peaceful demonstration with truncheons and rubber balls
The square has been taken back, with even more people, to protest for the treatment recieved.
We won't be quiet And we won't stop.
