Life has been boring the past few weeks, so I haven't been posting anything new even if I want to.
That's why I'm glad shinscans has a mandatory contest for members to participate in. You only need to make a journal entry about a BL/yaoi pairing you like -- and that's just perfect. I've been thinking of the proper time I should blog about this pair that I've been gung ho about for a while now.

WARNING: I'll be talking about real people from here on out. So fangirls who only like 2D BL/yaoi, you may not want to read/see this.
NOTE: They are cosplayers. They are confirmed male. They do not know I ship them, but they're probably aware that they're being shipped. They're Chinese. If you don't like any of the facts above, do not read any further.
First, let's start with 小梦 (Xiao Meng).
I've mentioned him in a previous post, but here's the basic info about him:
He's a famous Chinese cosplayer who lives in Chengdu, Sichuan. He has been cosplaying for 7 years now, he's around 25* years old, he's a makeup artist, and he is absolutely in love with food.
(Some Chinese start counting their age from 1 year old instead of 0 -- technically he should be 25)
His personality basically reflects what he looks like. Cool, quiet, reserved. He is famous for being expressionless (in front of the camera or not) that people even joke about him being the God of Facial Paralysis.
He reads/watches BL and has cosplayed from Junjou Romantica as Usami Akihiko and from Gravitation as Yuki Eiri.

He does other BL shoots from fandoms I'm not very familiar about, but what's amazing about them is that.. his partners are almost always male.

And that brings us to the other person...
文睿 (Wen Rui)
A Chinese cosplayer from Hangzhou, Zhejiang. His hobbies include photography, music and cosplay. He's around 22 years old and is a student of Music in Zhejiang Media University.
His face also tells us the summary about his character. Cheerful, carefree, friendly.
But he can be a bit sensitive at times and can get depressed easily.
He's new to BL cosplay, but he has participated in some with Xiao Meng.

So here comes the fun part. Why them?
Well, this is the story.
Through the wonderful hands of fate, Xiao Meng and Wen Rui (aka Rui Rui) met each other in the year 2010, despite the epic distance of their respective homes. (Hangzhou and Chengdu are faaaar.)
They became friends -- very good friends in fact. That they would do BL shoots without feeling awkward about it.
Rui Rui stated, "Big Brother Xiao Meng introduced me to Gravitation", and that while watching, he really liked Shuichi's personality. "So when Big Brother Xiao asked me to cosplay from Gravitation, I agreed right away, " or something to that extent.
Rui Rui mentioned that Xiao Meng had an aura that was similar to Yuki Eiri's so it suited him, and Xiao Meng suprisingly said the same thing about Rui Rui~
Rui Rui also admitted that, "We took so many R-rated shots that we can't even put it in the magazine."
(Blacksky View magazine/book is basically a cosplay photo book where Xiao Meng and other cosplayers are featured in popular cosplay.)
And if it wasn't enough, Rui Rui developed a deep attachment to Xiao Meng that he regularly visits him in Chengdu during cosplay events to work as his assistant. If you're wondering about his lodging, Rui Rui stays at Xiao Meng's place whenever he's in Chengdu, of course.
It's fun to note that in less than a year, Rui Rui has had the privilege of going out together with Xiao Meng (just the two of them) to visit places, eat, and buy materials for cosplay. Especially since Xiao Meng normally doesn't go out with just one person (or anyone at all). And what's even more interesting about this is that Xiao Meng even posts photos of their trip, as if saying "we had a great time together".
I'm not exactly sure when they started sticking together so much, but...
I'm happy to say that this year, Xiao Meng and Rui Rui spent Valentine's Day together~ It's interesting to say that despite hiding the identity of their "partner" in that lunch out, both of them posted the exact same set of photos which therefore confirmed each other's identity. Xiao Meng also went to Hangzhou for a cosplay shoot, and at the same time visited Rui Rui's home to greet his parents. For a while, Rui Rui had the liberty of showing Xiao Meng around Hangzhou, and Xiao Meng took photos to commemorate.
He may not look it, but Xiao Meng is actually quite thoughtful~
He sent Rui Rui chocolates last Christmas, and even gave Rui Rui his birthday gift one week in advance this year~ Rui Rui admits that, "Big Brother Xiao Meng is very dependable." While Xiao Meng mostly says, "Rui Rui's silly attitude is cute~"
They enjoy each other's company so much it's amazing. Rui Rui comes to almost every convention he can afford to go to with Xiao Meng. This happens so frequent that there is already a reserved seat for Rui Rui next to Xiao Meng in whichever table he's supposed to sit at (whether judges', booth, or autograph signing table).
Even now, Rui Rui's on summer vacation and is therefore using the time to stay with Xiao Meng in Chengdu (while attending conventions and cosplaying).

At first I thought something like this couldn't possibly happen in real life. Something like this is too good to be true.
