OBLIGATORY REBORN 270 POST
You know how the Reborn manga has gotten terribly boring and illogical lately?
You have little to no motivation to read the recent chapters, and even if you do, it feels a little too forced?
Sometimes you read only in sheer hope that maybe something good will happen, even if you know that it's beyond redemption?
And upon reading, you find yourself only either cursing or worshiping the mangaka?
Cursing her for the obvious plotholes, the ugly art, the slow transition of events or whatever retarded thing she came up with. Or perhaps worshiping her for pulling off an awesome chapter with character development and a clear advance in the plot.
This time...
Well, do you really have to ask?
MUKURO-FRAN INTERACTION FOR THE FUCKING WIN. I LOVE YOU AMANO.
First things first.
Kikyou looked manry in the cover. I like it. ♥
However, the fighting scenes had really weird angles, happened too fast, and felt too rushed. Not only is the art so distorted, the characters are half the time placed in a very tiny, dark panel. Zakuro is not helping by being butt-ugly and unrecognizable -- I just see him as a black mass. Everything is such a mess. I found it hard to follow the dialogue or what was really happening because the visuals themselves are confusing already. Not to mention the translation was a bit off sometimes.
It seemed a lot like Amano was in a hurry to reach the climax at the end where Mukuro shows up. The "illusion" looked totally unconvincing. I knew it by the time Hibari's arm gets bitten. One, it was too "outrageous" for Amano's style, and two, it isn't possible to happen to "cool and awesome Hibari-sama". I can see through you, Amano. Hibari is too important to the fans. You can't afford to hurt him or the fans will send you hate mail.
But despite all that shit, what's important is that Mukuro and Fran are here now and they look so adorable as Master and Apprentice. ♥ (And yes, I don't ship them because Fran is so hard to seriously ship with anybody.)
Amano-sensei really knows how to cater to the fans sometimes.
(Except the Gokudera fans.)
I wished for 10069 in Mukuro's reappearance. I got Target 256.
I wished for Mukuro-Fran interaction as Master and Apprentice. I got Target 270.
If I wish for Byakuran/Mukuro/Ghost threesome, will Amano grant it?
Mukuro in his "real" body. He's so thin and sickly. But still sexy. *A*
They look so good just standing there. They are sparkling in my vision right now.
Fran calling Mukuro "Master" and Mukuro calling Fran "Little One" -- So freaking adorable. I do not feel the malice, even if it's Mukuro we're talking about.
But I feel a little lonely that the Kokuyo gang is not with them. Or maybe they are.
*I feel the urge to buy the volumes where Chapters 168-169, 256, and 270 are found.

We have a new dog called "Legend".
It's a gift my father gave to my brother. (Because my future sister-in-law died)
I just know Legend will grow up to be a very good-looking dog.
His paws are enormous and heavy. His father is a HUEG dog, so we are hoping that he is the same. He receives the most attention from all our dogs right now because he's a pure breed, LOL.
And my father is so paranoid about him that he calls the vet without a second thought if he notices something abnormal about Legend.
I really, truly hope that Legend grows up old. Our old German Shepherd died only after 2 years due to illness so we are afraid of something like that happening again.

Because I didn't bother looking at the LJ comms for the SO3 fandom, I have overlooked the doujinshi community that had all the Cliff/Albel stuff I wanted. So I joined the community and will thank them by scanlating at least one doujin for this old OTP of mine. X3
