Because what they're doing is implying that they're doing this out of a whim. *hueg sigh* Although I find it hard to take, this seems to be the case. TT_TT And because they're not yet announcing a title to replace it, looks like they may proceed all the way through the start of the Future(?) Arc. *Dundundun*....
Was only able to watch the Lussuria-Ryohei fight (Tagalog first, then Japanese). I did so because I was afraid Lussuria's Tagalog dubber, um, overdid it by being all flirtatious to Ryohei at the start of their fight. I still think so even after watching the Japanese one, LOL.
Was able to watch the Japanese dub by stream, but now I can't watch it anymore due to veoh's 5-minute preview policy. MegaVideo deleted all videos of Reborn episodes. YouTube....yeah. DX I'll still try to search for working and good quality streams. Aaaaand read the manga while I'm at it.
Speaks of Youtube, someone uploaded the first episode of Tagalog!Reborn there. Part 1Part 2Part 3 ASDhasdrqwe it to anyone who might be, um, interested. (...Dapat pala shinare ko 'to sa kh_reborn, LOL.) There's sync and pitch problems with part 2, though.

I don't know the issue about XANXUS but it seems people are having a hard time voicing him. His laugh in Japanese is UNNATURAL and FORCED too, that it makes me crack up, LOL.

I haven't heard Chrome yet. I wasn't able to reach beyond the Rain ring battle because of summer classes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hibari's "I'll bite you to death" line is transliterated, amirite? If ABS is using an actual Japanese script, they may have translated it as is, too. Again, we can never be too sure. I need more contacts T_T
WTF DALAWA DUBBERS NIYA Parang ganon po yung lalabas. Kasi kung isa lang yung dubber niya, hindi hahayaan ng dubbing director na mag-shift bigla ang boses niya. Methinks it's a problem with the (huskier) dubber's schedule.
Well, one big hint there is... the "Dying Will Bullet". They say it in English in the dub, right? But it is originally in Japanese as "Shinuki Dan". The term "dying will" originated from the scanlations of the manga (that eventually carried on to the anime), but the official translation is "Deathperation shot." Second is the "bite you to death" phrase of Hibari. No, it isn't transliterated. And at the beginning of the subs, the phrase itself wasn't used (it was first translated as "I'll kill you"). Later on, when the anime progressed to the Varia arc, the fansubs eventually revealed Hibari's catchphrase to be "I'll bite you to death". Which is why we only heard "patay ka sa kagat ko" in the Varia arc of the dub and not earlier.
Hindi hahayaan ng director? Eh hinayaan na nga niya maging walang kwenta ang boses ng ibang characters eh. Why am I not surprised? Maybe he doesn't even know the difference. He certainly wasn't able to tell Tsuna and Naruto's voice apart.
I guess talagang pang-casual viewer lang ang Tagalog!Reborn. But despite that, I'll still support & watch it whenever I can for teh lulz. I wonder how it's still going despite having almost no ads :|
