Busy week
So I haven't kept up quite as well with posting as I wanted to...but it has been really, really busy around here.
so here goes...
The smoking thing is kicking my ass...I was fine for one whole week, then the dog peed on the floor and my brain imploded...the only way to get it to work right again was to have some nicotine...in fact, I'm considering just wrapping the patch right around the cigarette and smoking that....smirk..
I am still running every other day or so...most days I walk 1 mile and run 1/2 mile....down 10 pounds....yeeha!!! Got my new Nike's on Saturday...they rock!
Greg, John and I are completely insane....we each drove a hundred miles on Saturday, meeting halfway, to goto the movies....LOL...but in all fairness it was worth it...we all knew where our towels were...
After the movies they drove 100 miles to my house so we could hang out and play poker, stay up late, and eat steaks for breakfast, after which they had to drive home....pals are awesome...
Last night I drove two hours with my kids to goto Tesla, the most kick ass rock concert I have seen in years...I was relieved and somewhat amused to see that I was not the only one there with their kids...my ears are still ringing....we had a blast...it was also educational for my kids....they got their first whiff of what pot smells like and got to see what happens when you drink too much at a concert..when we came out the front doors of the club there were two girls laying on the sidewalk in their own puke...they had also peed their pants...it was wholly undignified and sad...it was disturbing, but I am glad that my daughter, especially, got to see that...she also watched strange creepy men trying to hit on these women and take advantage...so many people would not get involved, which was another lesson for them...safety in numbers is bunk....so I called 911 on my cell phone and hopefully got them some help...over all it was one hell of a night....
