A Saturn L200 I found looks rather incredible, so I think I'm actually going to do that.  It's white like the ZX2 was (I'd rather have black), but color is an extremely minor consideration: what matters to me is that this car has power windows and locks and a nice sound system, complete with CD player.  I know it probably sounds so ridiculous that ( Read more... )

Saturns are generally not performance cars, but for the civic-minded, they're a good American automobile. The KBB on that car is roughly 9500 so yes, you're getting a decent deal. Beats the resale on my 2002 Cavalier, which is now about 8000. :)

If by performance you mean torque and horsepower and acceleration and all that, that's not really something I care too much about. It's been somewhat nice having the acceleration of my mom's Venture (V6) and my stepdad's Taurus (V6) was also nice, but I'm completely fine driving a Focus, which at first seemed to me to be extremely underpowered. My philosophy: so long as I don't hold up traffic whenever I have to merge onto the expressway, I don't really mind.

If you mean something other than that, it could be an issue :O

Yeah, by performance I simply mean GO-JUICE. Nothing of Earth-shattering importance for a first car. :)

The Focus SPI probably feels a bit underpowered, but the Zetec Focus generally has some decent push to it. Guess it depends on what you're used to, though.

Sir, you should just get the three-wheeled bike from Crazy Taxi 2. You can give me a ride to work in the giant basket in the back. Much more affordable and reliable. And those things are fast, man !!

Oh, yeah. I own one car. However, my previous cars have included a 2002 Cavalier, which, up until recently, was still financed in my name--my sister has been making payments on it toward owning it, and she just recently traded it in.
