So when did you get up? I've been up and awake since 4 a.m. That's when I went to the bathroom and noticed (kinda hard not to) that there was water coming down from the ceiling in great wet, splotchy drips. It presently became a hefty trickle. The ceiling is bowed low and the paint is all bubbled out with more water. Luckily I was able to move my shower curtain and shunt the water into the tub. Spoke with the neighbor upstairs, he has a soaking bathmat this morning, and then called the landlord at about 7, waking her up unfortunately, but I'd already had breakfast and coffee.

Her response was, "We can't get out there to look at it until Sunday."

Uh, so I get to deal with a ceiling that might cave downwards at any moment, spilling water onto the floor of my bathroom and possibly damaging my furniture? I get to have people coming into my apartment to fix this while I'm gone for a week?

I don't think so. So, please chime in, I'm considering a number of actions to take and I need to know what is most(5)/least(1) legal and appropriate.
