This shall be called the BIG DAMN Book Update.
For the record, yes, Amazon and Borders probably do own my soul. I have accepted this fact. So has IKEA where my bookcases come from.
90) The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie, finished 11/7
Nice new series, rotating characters which is a lot of fun.
91) Torchwood: Border Princes by Dan Abnett, finished 11/8
Been delightfully surprised at how well these authors have gotten the snark and antics down.
92) A Kiss of Shadows: Meredith Gentry Book One by Laurell K. Hamilton, finished 11/9
Let's be honest - LHK is a guilty pleasure, but that's why we read her.
93) Tithe by Holly Black, finished 11/15
Had a brief fairy period here - cute young adult book, quite amusing at times.
94) Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews, finished 11/16
Oh snark, how I love thee...
95) The Morganville Vampires: A Feast of Crows by Rachel Caine, finished 11/16
Again, I really do like this author and the world she's built up.
96) Signs of the Zodiac: Scent of Shadows by Vicki Pettersson, finished 11/22
Had no idea what I was getting into with this series - but I really love it. Recommended to anyone who likes a kick-ass kinda heroine. Really this is a series about the shades of gray kind of superhero (there's a comic and everything). This story starts out with the classic tragedy upon discovery of powers.
97) The Hero Strikes Back by Moira J. Moore, finished 11/25
Antics a their finest. For readers who don't take their fantasy too seriously.
98) And Only to Deceive by Tasha Alexander, finished 11/26
I love me my historical mystery and I do like that the author explains the history behind her story at the end.
99) The Negotiator Trilogy: Hands of Flame by C.E. Murphy, finished 11/27
Great finish to a fun trilogy - I look forward to her next book.
100) The Weather Wardens: Chill Factor, by Rachel Caine, finished 12/2
Love how her plotlines overlap, makes me keep grabbing more books.
101) The Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, finished 12/3
Best book I ever read in high school, was reading it with my freshman this year.
102) Armed and Magical by Lisa Shearin, finished 12/5
Another fun series if you don't have to take stuff too seriously all the time.
103) Signs of the Zodiac: Taste of Night by Vicki Pettersson, finished 12/10
Newly minted superhero balances her destiny, her two lives and trying to save the world without accidentally destroying it.
104) Back up by Jim Butcher, finished 12/12
The story of Thomas! Bob even shows up! Woot!
105) Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan, finished 12/14
Squee! How I loves these! And there will only be *sob* one more!
