How I found fan fiction.
I was looking for information on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and came across Harry Potter and the Psychic Serpent by Barb. Someone posted it as an excerpt of HPOotP. I liked what I read and googled looking for the rest of the story. That lead me to Fiction Alley. Somehow I found my way from there to adultfanfiction, fanfiction.net, portkey.org, and lordandladysnape (now Ashwinder).
Why I read entirely too much fan fiction.
It is too easy to copy and paste a story into a word document so that I can copy it to my palm to read at my leisure. I don't have to worry about keeping up with a book. There are so many good writers out there with stories to tell.
