Added a few things among the imps and Possettes...

The Girls Love Limeys
Initial Thoughts: I was being totally mercenary about this one...when Fabienne said she thought she'd lost the original recipe, I was thinking I might have something unique if she could only approximate the ingredients. But she found her recipe, so karma gives me a well-deserved tap.

In the Bottle: Gooey-sweet lime candy.

Wet: Very strong! I'm reeling from the lime, which keeps its sweet candy quality.

Drydown: The honey comes out and tones down the lime, very very slowly. Eventually it's a quiet sweet lime scent on my skin.

Verdict: I'm going to have to play with this one a bit and see whether it's something I'd reach for.

The Girls Love Vanilla
Initial Thoughts: I love trying vanilla scents; it's one of my favorite notes. Honey has been hit-or-miss on me in the past with BPAL and other companies; usually it has to be a background note for it to work on me. But Possets has introduced me to a violet I can wear, a patchouli I can wear...perhaps one of the "Girls" will be that magical honey I can wear.

In the Bottle: Rich sweet honey and decadent vanilla. Very foody.

Wet: Creamy honey. I like how the vanilla is coming across to soften the honey note.

Drydown: On me, the honey is clearly the strong note. The vanilla stays in the background, adding sweetness to the honey but never really coming out to share the spotlight.

Verdict: It's certainly as advertised, and for those who adore honey notes, this is a must-try. I'm going to have to play with it a little and see whether it's something I would wear or something just for the scent locket.

Over-the-Rhine
Initial Thoughts: I was curious to see what Fabienne might do with Oriental and spice notes.

In the Bottle: I get a nose full of incense, slightly dusty.

Wet: This is making me think of BPAL's Mama-Ji, with its very strong incense note backed by suggestions of florals. I'm also getting a musk element and a swirl of spices like ginger and clove.

Drydown: Some of the dimension fades on me, leaving pure incense in its wake. It's a nice incense, but I was enjoying the shifting, sparkling quality in the wet stage; it reminded me of Pomona and how it changes with every sniff.

Verdict: If you love incense scents, definitely try this one. I'm going to have to do a side-by-side compare with my Mama-Ji and see if they're different enough to keep both.
