Grr!

I have to make up for the lack of hustle of last week. Problem is, it wasn't my fault there was no hustle. I essentially couldn't get into my office for two days, and by the time I would get in there, there'd be too much to do and not enough time to do it. And I still forgot to do things. I have a full eight hour day today (we have a meeting with Fr. Mike to do paperwork for the wedding at 7:00), so I'll be able to more than adequately catch up. That leaves me with incidentals for the rest of the week, along with getting ready for choir season. I have to call a girl about auditions for choir, but basically tell her that I can't give her a concrete date until Ricardo gets back at the end of the week. I hate doing stuff like that.

I know I'm doing a lot more work than probably needs to be done on the wedding at this stage of the game. I mean, we have the ceremony pretty much set up, sans the classes and whatever. We have a photographer. We have many, many ideas. I know what dress I want, for God's sake. It makes me feel better, though. I'm such a procrastinator most of the time. At least I've gotten work done on this far, far in advance. Just don't want to get annoying about it.

...oh, shite, need to pay the electric bill. And pay Lowell back today. And the insurance bill...I can do the last one on Thursday after work, though. Thank goodness.

Lowell and I visited Legoland on Saturday after I finished a very slow and monotonous day at the store. My favourite part was Lego model of downtown Chicago. The first thing I saw when I entered the room was not the model of Hancock tower, which Lowell spotted immediately. No, the first thing I saw was the model of the Cathedral. It was like being at both jobs on a Saturday. Boo! We did just about everything we could while there, though it was all designed for a much, much younger crowd than two twenty-somethings. They had a 3D movie that was cute, and I got a plushie based off the dragon that has a small part in the movie. I saw him in the store, and immediately squealed and hugged him. He's very huggable.

After meeting with the photographer yesterday afternoon, Lowell came over. We ate dinner, I played FFIV, and then Lowell started getting all sleepy and not talky. So I gave in. I listened to Chris and Evie roll D&D characters on Saturday evening, and got curious. So I rolled my own yesterday. I will not be playing anytime soon, for a variety of reasons. First of all, I really don't have time. Second of all, I'm really not interested in playing a numbers game, which version four seems to be in comparison to other D&D versions. I listen to Lowell describe how his games have gone (he plays with a different group), and I've had to ask where the RP part is, because that's not usually talked about. I learned about D&D through someone who is hard-core about the RP part, so to hear these descriptions that are sorely lacking in that category kind of turns me off. Who knows. I want to write a story about my character now, though. Maybe this is something to work on for NaNo this year. Hmm...

There is a giant spider who has taken up residence on the gate to my gangway. He has spun a massive web from one building to the next, and is also attached to said gate. He is gray and fuzzy and disgusting. He may not be a he, but since I'm terrified of him, I've thus declared him a him. He's currently lurking on the gate itself, hiding whilst his web catches the eight gazillion flies that are hovering around the building next to mine. This makes leaving the apartment every morning a nerve-wracking event, as I do not wish to be attacked by the evil spider of doom and mayhem. I've even been going into my building via the main entrance and going up and down sets of stairs rather than use the gangway and have to go near the spider. I am a lameass. But he is terrifying.

Worky now.
